We have booked the 3 day Wonder next June 2005 and have a navigator's veranda. Can anyone shed some light on these rooms? The last time we were on the Wonder, we had an oceanview on deck 5, but having a balcony on the RCCL Jewel spoiled us.
We are staying at WDW for one week before the cruise, too!!! I can hardly wait!!! :cool1:

The navigator verandahs are our favorites!

The verandah is enclosed and has a small padded seat chair, a small wood table and a padded bench seat. The bottom portion is solid metal, but the top has a large oval opening (round on the Magic). Big enough for two adults to easily stand there and look out.

Many say you can't see the water when sitting, but I've always been able to sit on the bench and look at out the water on the horizon.

Enjoy!

We boarded the Wonder the very day you wrote this message and 5132 was our stateroom. We loved this room configuration and thought the Verandah itself was really nice. I didn't miss the full glass verandah at all.

The one thing we did notice about this room, and maybe because it is aft, is it is noisier than staterooms I've had on other ships that are mid ship. When I say noisier, I mean the room itself - it tended to creak and crack. I commented to my husband that I felt like I was in a bowl of rice krispies - snap crackle and pop. It was rough the first night so needless to say noisier that night, but even on calmer sees, I could hear creaking. it didn't bother my son or husband at all and once I put ear plugs in, I slept fine. I must admit I am a light sleeper though.

I've not read this in any other postings regarding navigator's verandahs but do want to mention it as it was something I wasn't expecting.

Thanks for the info. We were just on the Jewel of the Seas (rccl) and our room creaked quite a bit. After a while I was used to it so it didn't bother me. The seas that week were pretty rough though.

Hi Neighbor! I live up the road from you about 5 miles in B'burg! It's a small world after all! :D
I love the navigator's! We had 7122 in October, and rebooked it for next year. It is not super-open, but I liked to sneek out in my pjs and watch the islands go by. My dh liked to read out there and found the protection from the wind to be perfect. We actually found this to be a very quiet room. When we were on deck 6 midship, we had that "snap, crackle, pop" experience.
