Navigator messaging - does each person need

Their own login? Or can they all use the same one?

Right now we only have one family login, used to do the bookings, etc.

Also, do they have kids accounts, or you have to sign up the kids as if they are adults?

Each person does not need a Disney.com account. Each person needs their own device with the navigator app. Once on board, the app will change and you can enter your credentials to chat. You'll each have your own "account," but it's not the password protected Disney account like you use for bookings.

Everyone on the ship can log into the Navigator app once they're onboard by using their room number, name, and birthdate. A Disney Cruise login is not required.

Each person will have a unique chat ID that must be provided to anyone outside the cabin with whom he or she wants to chat. (Chat is automatic for everyone within a cabin.) I'm not sure if kids need an adult's permisson to chat, since my kids were over 13 when they first used the app.

Thanks all, this makes sense. It seemed weird to me that my 11 year old would need her own full account, especially since she’s too young by the app rules. They were too young to have devices on our last cruise.

Also, on the fantasy in October, we could iMessage each other from our iPhones. No need to use the navigator app.

On my last 2 cruises (10/19 and 11/08, Fantasy and Wonder) not only did iMessage work but so did 99% of apps and websites without buying an internet package. Facebook and Instagram were really the only things that didn't load for either of us. I have read a couple of isolated comments about this previously, and was shocked that DCL hasn't patched it (though after many months surely they'd be aware).
