I have three baby foster bunnies that have been living together in a pen. Two are males and one is female. For several weeks they were snuggling, grooming each other and being adorable. Then we noticed the boys were starting to spray the walls so I called the rescue group for advice. They said they're entering their teenage stage and we should call again if we see the boys expressing interest in the girl. So this week, they started sniffing her and chasing her around the pen. She's a strong little girl and looked like she was ready to thump them in the nose. So I called again and they said it was time to separate them. They also said their spay/neuter surgeries have been scheduled for a few weeks from now.
We put the little girl in her own pen and put the boys in a shower that we don't use. That way they can spray the walls all they want and it will be easy to clean. The sweet little girl looks so much happier now that she's rid of those naughty boys! She's lounging around, nibbling hay and looking for attention whenever we walk by. Of course, the boys are just being boy bunnies. That's what they do! But they sure do act naughty when they're teens!
