So...Here we are. It's Wisconsin. It is January. And this morning, the windchill brought us to an unimaginable -42 degrees (Actual temp about -4). Schools are closed. Not because of snow. Or Ice. But because it is too darn unsafe for kids, or anyone, to be outside.

I guess we call this my breaking point.

Despite me agreeing with our most recent (and also first ever) trip to Disneyworld in August, that it would be our only, I have now started getting the itch again.

What better time to coax the honey into another trip than when it is blistering cold outside.

"Wouldn't it be nice next Fall/Winter if instead of freezing our backsides off at home, we were in warm, sunshiney Florida?"

So, first, lets introduce "us".

Me - Jessica. 24 by the time this trip will roll around. I sell health insurance to the masses. So, thanks to some law passed somewhere down the line at some point in time, my "selling season" now will end on 12/7 every year instead of 12/31, opening up the possibility of a Christmas Trip. The other possibility is a Food and Wine Trip.

Honey - Adam. 27ish by the time this trip will roll around. He works for a large contracting company and coordinates the building of commercial properties. We've been very fortunate that in this economy he still has a job. And yes, I just knocked on wood.

I won't lie. Our first trip, I pretty much ambushed him into. I quietly paid the deposit for the trip. Told him "Hey, we are going to Disney in August" and that was that. Knowing full well that I won't be getting off that easy this time around, I have prepared several exhibits that I think will aid in easing him into acceptance of another trip. My Great Grandmother, who was married for 65 years once told me that the secret to a lasting relationship is that everything can be negotiated. Who am I to disagree.

Exhibit A - Weather
He always complains about the cold weather here. Always. Even more so than I. Probably has something to do with the fact that he spends a lot of time outside. :confused3 Fall/Winter is also the easiest time of year for him to take off work.

Exhibit B - Hunting
Hunting is a hot button issue in our household. I think it is a ridiculous waste of money for a hobby. I don't care to eat wild game, and I certainly don't care for them as household decor. I don't love him because he hunts. I love him in spite of the fact that he hunts. Its been an ongoing battle since we started living together and I gradually started congregated dead animal mounts before they all eventually relocated to the "forest" in the "man cave" (or basement) where they are neither seen by myself, or anyone else I know.

Any how. Adam really wants to go on a range hunting trip with his dad in Texas this year. I have held off on agreeing because quite honestly, I could buy myself a Chanel bag or two for the cost of the trip, license fees, cost of mounting whatever poor animal is killed, etc, etc. But, I may be willing to reconsider if I got a Disney trip out of it.

Exhibit C - Family

Adam's family has been saying for quite awhile now that they desire to go on a family trip later this year, with all of us together. For a whole week. We can't agree on a location for dinner on most occassions, let alone a vacation. Not to mention, a long dinner with the family can be taxing, let alone an entire vacation. Having another trip planned would make it easier to postpone the family bonding another year.

Now, don't get me wrong, I love family and enjoy them very much. But a trip with all 7 of us has GIANT DISASTER written all over it.

Exhibit D - Christmas and Birthday

This was also a part of this years trip. We called our trip Christmas and Birthday presents to eachother, and quite honestly, I found it pretty awesome. No stress of trying to find that perfect gift, because we got the greatest gift of all, Disney.

So...will he, or won't he? We will have to see...
