I have an existing Emerald Aisle reservation. Got a great rate using Priceless Code and Entertainment coupon. I just called Nat'l to add on one day, picking the car up on Wed. instead of Thursday. A MAJOR increase in the weekly rate! The agent on the phone said that different days of the week carry different rates. I had no idea! We are rethinking our strategy and left our ressie as is for now.

Makes sense to me. That is what the airlines do. It's all about supply and demand.

Go on the National website, play around with your dates & various codes...you'll be surprised at how much your rate can vary! As always, check out MouseSavers.Com for hints/tips/codes - but it looks like you've already done *that* since you know about the Priceless code & Entertainment coupon...
*Sometimes* it has actually been cheaper for me to get a towncar to WDW & then pick up my National rental (after my vacation has started) from the Magic Kingdom Car Care Center, rather than renting a car at MCO for my whole vacation.
If you do decide to do this, one thing to be aware of(but not really a problem), is that the MKCC doesn't technically have an Emerald Aisle, but they *do* have Emerald Counter. There's only ever been a person or two in line when we've rented from the MKCC, though. Last time we used the Orlando Airport Emerald Aisle?...it took about 15/20 minutes to get out of the parking garage. The line of waiting cars was unbelieveable!

agnes!

I've noticed this too, infact all my ressies between $14. - $16.(total) a day were gotten on Thursdays and Fridays.

Hi guys- thought you should know that if you go on national's website and modify your reservation the price will only go up a few dollars :cool1: I did this for my September trip--five days to six days the only thing that changed was the tax amount

Hi, I have a question on the Entertainment coupon- has anyone tried using this if they don't have the Entertainment book? I just made a reservation using this code, but I am afraid that once I get there, they are going to ask to see my book/card. Any try it?

Thanks,
Lisa

You do have to have the coupon when picking up the car. They don't ask for the book or the ID card. I believe there is a printable one online somewhere. One time a friend forgot the entertainment coupon and they did take off the discount.

The other thing I have noticed with National is that the prices for booking rentals are more expensive over the weekend. It seems like the lowest price offererd was on Wednesday, not for picking up the car, but for reserving the car.
