QUICK PERSONAL UPDATE....​

My DS got "TERIFFIC KID OF THE WEEK" in his classroom this week.

He got a bulletin board in the classroom all made up in his honor and they will read his favorite book this week. Plus he gets to be line leader and help the teacher with daily tasks such as passing out papers & snacks and such. He is soooo excited! They encourage the parents to come to school and eat lunch with him this week too. DH went yesterday, I'm going today and I'm going to get the grandparent's to surprise him tomorrow and the next day.

I'm so excited and proud of him. He is doing really well in school. They are now studying for the SAT's. I can't believe they take SAT's in Kindergarten! I don't remember doing that.....maybe I did.

Give him a Big Hug and tell him Rosie says Way to Go!!!! I bet you both are sooooo proud of him !!!I know how proud I've been when the Kids make Student of the month!!!!

After taking a picture in front of that post for the 2nd year in a row I just decided why not do it every trip! I like seeing how much he's grown. The only problem would be if we start flying to WDW. Not sure what to do then!

So let's move on to Day 2. This day is February 7 and you know what that means......IT'S SUPERBOWL SUNDAY!!!!!!! Wait a minute....now WHO was it that was in the Superbowl this year?? Oh yeah, that's right the Colts and THE SAINTS!!!!! The team that many believed would never make it to a Superbowl.....but the team that I have had faith in seeing get to a Superbowl sometime in my lifetime. It was FINALLY HERE!!!

We woke up this morning excited and with smiles on our faces! We got dressed and put on our Saints Jersey's to wear proudly around WDW all day long! We wondered briefly that morning over waffles how many other Saints fans there would be out and about at WDW. Surely, if they are here, they WILL BE WEARING THEIR SAINTS GEAR and won't be hard to spot!! We also wondered if we'd get backlash from fans from the other team. Hmmm, NAH!!! We didn't care! We grabbed our park bags and off we went! Saints flag still proudly waving from the window of my Yukon as it did our entire trip! At this time, I decided that I would do a picture theme.....a Colts fans vs. Saints fans picture theme!! Todays picture mission would be how many fans from each team could I find? I would take pictures of every fan that I see sporting their team colors and at the end of the trip I would count them up and see who had the most fans walking around WDW.

This morning was our 2nd day at Epcot!! Our plans were to have dinner at Teppan Edo that night since we LOVE hibachi dinners. However, I made the ADR's a little later than I would have liked and it would have put us missing the kick off. We had decided we would watch the game from our room and hope for the best that we didn't get kicked out. Ah, who am I kidding!! When the game came on we wouldn't have cared if someone started banging on our door. THE SAINTS WERE IN THE SUPERBOWL!!!! Kick me out when the game is over, 'cause we're not answering the door.

Before I get ahead of myself, let me reel my excitement back in just a little bit......EPCOT, yes, that's where we headed. It was another cold and windy morning/day. We were headed toward World Showcase this morning since we did most everything we wanted in Future World the day before. But first we see there is not much of a line at the Character Connection!! How fun would it be to get Character pictures with our Jersey's on, on Superbowl Sunday? It became a "must do". Here are the pictures from that experience. Some are from my carpy point & shoot camera and some are photopass.....

I asked Mickey if he thought the Saints were number 1. He approved!

Donald even took time out from saying HE was number 1 to show his number 1 for the Saints!

DS wouldn't take a picture with Minne! He said that was for GIRLS! So Minnie and I took a girlie picture.....

After this, since we are close, we decide to run over and grab a fastpass to Soarin' for later and then DS wants to ride Nemo really quick so we head there next....

Please don't eat me Mr. Shark!

Finally, we start toward World Showcase. We stop off at the Kim Possible kiosk and let DS swipe his ticket to get a "pass". His pass said for him to go to the kiosk in England in about 1 hour. PERFECT!! We took our time walking toward Canada. We stopped off for some hot chocolate and french vanilla cappuccino. T'was good but HOT!!!

We proceeded toward Canada and when I looked up we saw this family......

So, score 1 for the Colts fans!! However, don't get too excited. Believe it or not these were the ONLY Colts fans we saw ALL DAY on Superbowl Sunday!!! In fact, there was only one other family that we saw who had Colts baseball caps on later in the trip and that was it!! I was sort of surprised by that.

While entering Canada, I remember FauntleroyFan asking Jordan to look inside a large rock formation around there to see if there is something to do with the fireworks show. So I started trying to look around it but this is no easy task. There are a couple of sets of rocks. Here is what I saw......

I reached around the backside the best I could to snap a picture and see what's back there. This is all I could come up with. I have short arms, what can I say!

Maybe Jordan took this mission and got better pics. I forgot to ask him about it.

We proceeded on down to England. I took pictures as we did a walk through....

After this we stopped at the kiosk to get DS's Kimmunicator mission! After we got it, we proceeded straight down the hill toward the international gateway. We wanted to look around that little giftshop right next to the ticket entrance. We had never gone in there before. After this we just took in the scenery and finished our hot drinks before proceeding into France.

I'll stop here for now. Will try to come back later and update again. We are not feeling well today so I am forced to not do much but sit around and rest today, which means I should be able to be on the computer more.

Oh boy.... it's here... the Superbowl Sunday update.... sigh....

I guess I'll have to read and enjoy it as much as I can....

Not sure what was up with the lack of Colts fans. Our news reporters from Indy that were in Miami all week were saying the same thing... even in Miami, they noticed a considerable difference in the amount of Cots vs. Saints fans. I think the Colts fans were slightly afraid to show face when the entire country was rooting against them, know what I mean?

LOVE the character pictures.. you got some great ones! And, you know, if you were wearing a Colts jersey, Mickey would've said they were number one. From what I've heard, he's kind of a pushover and just agrees with whoever is with him at the time. Maybe he needs some counseling for that...

We had gotten some hot cocoa at MK a couple of weeks ago because it was so cold and it was REALLY HOT too... I burnt my tongue and it was numb all day. I just held the cup for the next hour to keep my hands nice and warm.

Hope you feel better soon.... we've been under the weather here too.

we were in MK this day...but only my nephew had on Colts gear because my SIL who is pregnant could not wear her jersey anymore...but they were the only ones in our family who wore gear. My SIL is from Indy and the rest of us Ohio...but I think my dad and brother were wearing their Purdue gear because my brother is a Purdue graduate and so is Drew Brees. But it might have been hard to see some team gear because it was soo COLD!! I had soo many cute Disney shirts for my DS that no one ever saw because we never took of his coat in the parks! LOL!

Wasn't it amazing how much less crowded it seemed on sunday as opposed to Saturday?
