National Emerald Aisle at Tampa Airport

Has anyone used the Emerald Aisle for National Rental Car at the Tampa Airport? Is the rental car location located right at the airport (inside the airport parking garage)? I thought we had used them before but I think I'm confusing them with Dollar.

Also, am I correct that we can choose any car that is parked in th Emerald Aisle if we reserved our car with our Emerald Card? I booked a full sized car. So say there's a van parked in Emerald Aisle, could I take that instead???

EA at tampa is there in the building. Walk out, take the car you want, and drive off.

With EA, you reserve a full size car and can take ANY car in the EA. If there are no cars in the EA Aisle, you are then told to go to the full size aisle and take a car there.

I complained about this the last time this happened - there were 4 of us familes waiting for EA cars of which there were none - within 5 minutes the EA was full of cars and I had the van I wanted. (this was at Orlando though...)

But rememeber, this is NOT a guarantee that you will get a van or a car that you want.

I read the EA at TPA has moved across the street to Spruce Ave. It has merged with Alamo, I hope MCO doesn't move offsite too.

No merge, they are owned by the same company and have been for a long time.
Alamo is now the official car of Disney.
