Today Friday November 5th is National Donut Day and I let my local bakeshop know about it and they have posted it on their Instagram and Facebook pages. The owner asks me now when I go in what day it is so I am going to let him know the upcoming Food Days so they can post those ahead of time as well. And yes I did order a donut or two for today. Lemon filled for my brother and a maple dipped skor donut for me.

I am making up my own day for today which is "Mail your friends Christmas Socks with their Christmas Card" since I found so many socks that I bought last year on Boxing Day Sales and I couldn't possible wear 9 new pairs of socks.

I'm all in for Ambrosia day. A neighbour down the street made some for me at Thanksgiving. It was so good (not really good for you but very tasty) I'm going to have to make it.

1 cup: 370 calories, 20g fat (14g saturated fat), 14mg cholesterol, 101mg sodium, 48g carbohydrate (43g sugars, 2g fiber), 4g protein.

• 1 can (15 ounces) mandarin oranges, drained
• 1 can (8 ounces) pineapple tidbits, drained
• 1 cup miniature marshmallows
• 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
• 1 cup sour cream

Directions

1. In a large bowl, combine the oranges, pineapple, marshmallows and coconut. Add sour cream and toss to mix. Cover and refrigerate for several hours.

Can be made the day before.
Substitute grapes for marshmallows.
