National Car Rental no longer at the Airport?

Just was on www.nationalcar.com and tried to get a quote for an early December rental and the site says that there is not a National rental site there but said to try Alamo. Have they closed the National counter at the airport?

WHich Airport. They had a counter inside Orlando (MCO) when I was there last June.

MCO. They were there my last trip, but that was June 2004. When I tried an on-line quote just today, it said there was no MCO location...maybe a computer glitch?

Hmmm...maybe they are planning to close the airport location or merge w/ Alamo? I can type in today's dates and a quote will come up, yet when I try for Dec 8 - 13, 2005, it tells me there is no airport location and to try Alamo.

were in the same area when we picked up our car in Oct. 05. @ MCO.

I "heard" someone say one was bought out by the other ... haven't found anything to back this up in writing though.

I just punched in our dates of Feb. 27 to Mar. 7 '06 and it went through fine....allowed me to select different vehicles, etc. Maybe just a glitch in the website...??

I am assuming it is/was a computer glitch, I just tried your dates and it gives me a quote.

Thanks - must have been an odd computer glitch....I went ahead and closed the site and brought it back up again and tried again and this time it worked!

I was just there on Monday, they are still going strong. BTW there were lots of SUVs and Vans on the EA.
