I don't want anyone to panic but we get a consumer newsletter and it's stating that National filed for Chapter 11 recently.
Can anyone else confirm this? Does anyone think this will hurt their travel plans if you have them for a car rental?
Uh, Uh, Yeah, The parent company of Alamo and National filed Chapter11, I think it was in November (you could search). Travel writers speculated that their rates might go down, because they don't have to pay debts, while in CH11. That, however, has not been the case and the rates have been sky high. Haven't seen any posts about rental problems @ National, yet. one problem post about Alamo.
