Can anyone who has used them recently tell me how the lines were? We are landing about 6 PM on a Thursday and I am wondering how long we may have to wait in line?

If I sign up for their Emerald Club - can I bypass the lines?? I will need a booster seat also, can i get that in the garage without standing in line?

I am traveling alone with my 6 year old and trying to make it as quick as possible.

Thanks!

I'm bypassing the line question b/c I don't know. :)

Go to mousesavers.com. Find the National page. Sign up, through their link, for the Emerald Club (through their link, signing up is free). Check out the mousesavers code/coupon page, find the best deal on a mid-size car to be picked up at MCO. Being part of the Emerald Club and renting a mid-size means you bypass the line, go straight to the Emerald Aisle, and choose a car.

Now...renting a booster seat, I do not know. But I'd just bring my own. For a 6 year old (and YAY for you for ignoring FL's relaxed laws and insisting on safety!) especially I'd just bring a booster for her. If you want an incredibly simple booster, check out the BubbleBum (I think I bought mine from amazon, but they sell them directly through their website). It's legal, although odd; an inflatable booster that just pops the kid up enough so the seatbelts fits better (which of course is the point of a booster). Weighs one pound. Totally worth it.

Thanks for the advice. I actually have a reservation already - I got a free SUV using airline miles :)

I will check out that booster seat! i would prefer not to have to hassle with bringing one on the plane since I will only need it for the two days in Orlando before we get on the Disney magic

Free SUV, nice!

I was skeptical of the bubblebum when I first saw things about it, but it has worked well for DS. At home he's still in the Nautilus as a highback booster, but has been really good on vacation with the BB. And he thinks it's comfy, too.

How do you use airline miles to book a rental car? I have miles with US Airways I would like to use.

I used Delta skymiles so not sure how it works for US Airways. HOwever, i looked on their website and dont see where you have an option for hotel or car rentals using their program. You may want to dig a little further though. Sorry I cannot be more help!

Emerald Club is free for anyone. Just go to the National Car web site. They dropped the membership fee when Enterprise bought them.

You can pick up the booster seat in the garage. No line.

Emerald Club is free for anyone to join. Just go to www.nationalcar.com and sign up.
You can also bypass the line with Alamo, just check in online, go to the garage, select your car and go to the exit area.
Booster seats are available at both Alamo and National in the garage.

You will need to call National and have your Emerald Club account number attached to the reservation. You will also, since you have booked a SUV , chose from the SUV row. But, you can bypass the counter by making it an Emerald Choice reservation.
