National car rental advice - hope to go beyond rookie status soon!!!

I made a phone ressie with National EA for November because the phone rate was less than the internet one. After reading more tonight on these boards - i went online and using my Ent. book coupon for a free weekend day, got a rate $30. less than the phone rate quoted and confirmed. Question: To get this lower rate - which is very good- do i call back and change the ressie - or make a new one on the internet? I am a rookie at this car rental stuff but i am learning fast!!! I would make it on the internet and then call and cancel the original one you made on the phone. Make screen prints of your internet confirmation and take it with you.
