I am both an Emerald and an Disney club member.

Even with the product code, coupon ID#, and contract ID# (as posted in the link below):

my quote was $535, for a full-sized car (the agent stated that if I tried to book an intermediate-size car, and tried to get an upgrade to a full-sized car, at the Emerald aisle - I would likely be unsuccessful, because they would be all taken, being the holiday season.

Was my quote too high, or because of the holiday season, I could not take advantage of the discounts?

Seema,
Can you go to Orlando a day earlier? The rates on the National site drop significantly if you pick up the car on Dec. 19 instead of Dec. 20.

Wow! What a difference a couple of days make. I booked National EA w/ DC discount Dec 18-29 for a full size. The total amount with fees is 352.00. (Still too much, IMHO.) I'm guessing your cost is so high because your start date is considered the Holiday Season. Believe me, you can do better. Dollar has been offering some pretty good rate codes. Payless (Off-site - I've never used them, so I don't know how good they are) is generally the cheapest without discounts. National's rates may come down, so keep checking. (When using EA, always book a full size, its the same price as a mid-size) Also, if you can leave a day or two sooner, the rate I booked is still available. Good Luck!
