National at Dolphin...

Is it easy to get to the National car agency at the Dolphin? I have rented a car for one day to get us to BWV. I was going to take ME, but I wanted a quick grocery stop, plus we need to get to the Wide World of Sports area to pick up our 5K Family Fun Run registrations that day. We arrive on January 6, 2006 and must pick up our registrations by that day. I thought it would be easiest with a car - plus the $35 was reasonable enough. We don't use a car while at WDW - so one day is all I need.

Anyway, is it convenient to drop the car there? Are they speedy? I just don't want to spend an hour returning a car... Thanks!

I believe they have a counter right inside the lobby, if my memory is correct when you enter the lobby it is off to your left just a little. Make sure you call for their hours though, we went around 7:00 PM one night and it was already closed.

Thanks for the heads up. I figured their hours would be somewhat limited. I am hoping to just pick up the car at MCO, get groceries, get our registration packets for the 5K run, then drop my husband and daughter at BWV, then drop the car at the Dolphin... Think it will be a problem if I don't keep it over night? Hopefully not.

I will try to find a phone number and give their desk a call directly for the hours. I love planning my trips!

I used Alamo in May for 3 days from MCO and dropped off at the Dolphin resort. When I pulled up I asked someone out front about returning car and they call over a guy who check me in and I was done. I got out of car and walked over to BWV. Could not have been earier. Hope National is a easy.

Thank you! That sounds perfect! Exactly what I was hoping for.

BTW, I think Alamo and National are kind of "sister" companies, so I think the process would be very similar. Hopefully by the time I drop off the car, my husband will have gotten through the check out line and we can head over to Epcot for a late lunch!
