This will be our 3rd time in Nassau.
1st cruise in 2000, took the town tour, shopped and visited Atlantis at night.
2nd time 2004, suprise vist during hurricane cruise, didn't go to GC.
Went to Ardastra Gardens on our own and shopped
This time our son and family, 1 child 8 yrs., are going on their first cruise with us and wanted to do the 4 day so since the Magic is in California this is a good time.

He wants to do the Caribbean Queen Snorkle Tour, because he does not want to be tied up too long so he can also see some of the town and shop. Has anybody done this tour? I know the time is short so that is not an issue.

I would like to do the blue lagoon Beach day, anyone know of this?

Or anyother suggestions to snorkle? We were on a Catamaran snorkle in Cozumel and was not too fond of it, really ruff waters.

Thanks

We recently went on Blackbeard's Cay Stingray adventure & had a great time. I have 2 DS's, ages 12 & 9. Took a boat over to Blackbeard's Cay, about 20 minutes if that. Then the dock separates the water in 2 - on the left is where the stingrays (stingers removed) are kept (a net is placed around the area so they can't get out) & on the right is a sandy beach, perfect for swimming. You will snorkle for a while (walk in from the beach), then feed the rays & can get a professional picture taken of your family petting the ray. You can come back later & snorkle again, which is much less crowded. Lunch is provided (hot dogs or burgers, chips & drink). Action, a limbo artist, also performed after lunch & ate fire - got the entire crowd involved. Very reasonable rates & we had a good time - hope that helps.

I've done both the Blue lagoon Beach Day and the catamaran sail and snorkel.

The Blue lagoon was very nice. We were there in 2002. There is a shallow inlet with some non motorized water rentals. There is a walk in snorkel area. Not very big and very rocky to walk into, so bring water shoes for the snorkel area if you are not wearing fins. The lunch was basic picnic fare. The first ferry went back at 2 and then another at 4.

The thing we didn't like about this was that the ferry ride is around 45 min. We were really tired and it seemed even longer on the way home. By the time we got back to the ship, it was around 3:30.

The Catamaran sail took about 20-30 min. to get there. A nice ride since it is outside on the catamaran. The ride there and back was very nice. We loved the snorkeling. They provide equipment, but bring your own mask and snorkel if you have it. Bring Water from the ship. Bring a waterproof bag that zips. We had a brief downpour and it soaked all of our towels. We got back to the ship around 1.

I know getting back at 1 is not that much earlier than 3:30, but when you are on a shorter trip, the more time on the ship the better. Plus, we were not as tired, we had a really good lunch on board the ship, got cleaned up and made a quick trip into town.

We did the Blue Lagoon Dolphin Encounter when we were in Nassau back in Jan., and we LOVED it. Being in the water with the dolphins was so much fun, and the kids who were there really seemed to like it.
The good thing about the Dolphin Excursion is that after you finish with the dolphins, you are able to go over to the Blue Lagoon beach and hang out.
