Anyone ever tried this excursion? By Limo or SUV? If so, what sights did you see? Also, is says "for up to 6 guests, $601.00". Is this price for all six guests? Thank you, CM

haven't done this, but IMO a tour of any kind in Nassau is not worth it. There just isn't much to really see. If you really want to do a tour you can do it yourself really easily by just paying a taxi driver much less than $600. There are about three things to see. The straw market, the conch shacks, and the Resorts. You are better off spending that $600 on pool passes at Atlantis.

If anyone has gone on this trip, please let me know. I don't want to swim at Atlantis; I'd like to take in some local culture in Nassau. Thank you.

the local culture is the conch shacks and the straw market which are both filled with tourists. There really isn't much local culture in nassau because it is essentially an island completely dependent on tourism. Sorry I can't give you specifics on this tour, but I can give you specifics of the island.

To answer your second question, the price is for the 6 guests. Those kinds of tours are available in many ports and seem expensive at first but if you book for the maximum number of guests, they come out at around the same price as an excursion, but you get a lot more flexibility.

We haven't done the DCL tour but we did book a tour with the private taxi operator Sandra Ferguson and we had a great day. It was considerably cheaper than the DCL van. We paid $70/hour and her van would have seated 7 I believe. There were 5 of us with plenty of room. I did some research on where we wanted to go and she also offered some choices on the day, and was happy to change our itinerary on the fly. We went to John Watling Distillery, Rum Cake Factory, Fort Fincastle and the Queen's Staircase, the Cloisters, Atlantis (for a quick look and to say we'd been there), Ft. Montagu for a photo op and then lunch at the Cricket Club looking up at Fort Charlotte. It was a great day, the best we've ever had at Nassau.
