The 3rd race of the 36 race 2010 season takes us to Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the "Shelby American".
Qualifying is scheduled for Friday, February 26th. Please make your picks before qualifying is schedlued to begin.
Las Vegas Motor Speedway is an oval track with a lap distance of 1.50 miles. The drivers will complete 269 circuits for a total race distance of 401 miles.
That's 99 miles less than Daytona and Fontana....maybe some engines will make it all the way.
NASCAR visits this track only once a year.
#48 J Johnson has the most wins here since 1975 with 3 victories.
Other history:
In 3/09, #2 Kurt Busch led from start to finish.
In 3/08, #2 Kurt Busch had the fastest qualifying time in a race #99 C Edwards won.
In 3/07, #9 K Kahne had the pole and #48 J Johnson won for the second Las Vegas race in a row.
In 3/06, #16 G Biffle led the field to start the race and #48 J Johnson led the field to grab the checkered flag.
Ready to pick? I am!
My Las vegas picks are:
1. J Johnson <~~~ He does well here....and he's on a roll now....
2. C Edwards <~~~ FLIP!
3. C Bowyer <~~~ I think he's the hungriest driver out there....
4. T Stewart <~~~ A safe pick... (I Hope)
5. J McMurray <~~~ McMurray and his team seem to be doing everything right so far in 2010....I'm jumping on his band wagon....
I'm demoting JR back to my spare....I think I may have jinxed him....plus.....look at all the typing I just saved....
OK!
I looked at my picks again....They look good!

Good Luck EVERYBODY...and....ENJOY the race!
