Nascar or the NHL?

There was a long debate on our local sports show today about whether Nascar or the NHL was more popular.

Today is the Daytona 500 - essentially the Super Bowl of Nascar. This race is the most highly watched race in the USA.

So, assuming that you had interest in watching either.... would you rather watch The Daytona 500, or game 7 of the Stanley Cup?

I think, IMO, we need to say that you would watch any game 7, not just if it involved your hometown team.

Since I don't get the thrill of Nascar and practically learned how to skate before I could walk it's hockey all the way.

Definitely the Stanley Cup. There is nothing about Nascar that interests me in any way. Especially the 500...BOOOORRRRIIING!

I will definitely watch the Stanley cup (all games), no matter who is playing.

I've never seen a hockey game. Grew up going to races and watching Dad, and Brother race every weekend.

Hockey! Nascar is beyond boring. Hockey is just awesome. In fact I went to a game last night. I would watch any hockey game not just the stanley cup over nascar anyday.

I voted the Daytona 500.... though I will say if the Flyers were in game 7, I would watch them.... but any other teams? Definitely the Daytona 500.

There's nothing like a Game 7 in the NHL! My cousins live in Florida and they are really into NASCAR, but I don't get it. I like the racing games on Playstation though.

Even though I am a Texan I prefer the Stanley Cup to NASCAR. I don't understand what is so entertaining about watching cars speed around a track for hours on end.

I enjoy watching NASCAR but hockey all the way; however, I would take both over baseball. It is just too slow and boring on tv.

I'll glance at the Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final but I don't have a clue about anything NASCAR.
