NASCAR Fans - Pick Your Top 5 for Watkins Glen (RESULTS page 3)

Hmmmm, wonder how NASCAR will handle THIS Victory Lane issue? lol. Congrats to Tony for winning and sticking it out while not feeling great. I was all set to blast him if he got out of the car, but now I have to admit he has earned a little respect from me. Jr. admitted to getting out of his car a few weeks ago just because he could. I'm glad Tony stayed in. He deserved this win almost as much as Ron Fellowes would have.

I too, wonder what the backlash will be for Tony regarding Victory Lane and not sticking around for the interview. Jeff Gordon and Rick Hendrick were spoken too for not going to Victory Lane quickly enough after winning the Brickyard, though they contend it was excitement of winning #4 and in honor of Papa Joe, not to avoid the PowerAde bottles on top of the car.

It was an exciting race to watch, for a change - lots of action up front and clean racing.

I am no Stewart fan, but I would hope that Nascar would understand just how sick he was. The man was ready to pull himself out of the race halfway through even though he had a winning car. And the fact that NBC reported he was changing into a new suit tells me that no one would have wanted to be around him had he gone right to victory lane. I think we all know what "stomach cramps" mean. If Nascar can't figure it out, maybe next time Stewart should just invite them to join him in the bathroom. :)

I had a dilemma this week, it was caused by my picks. I was the only one who picked two "road course specialists" so when qualifying got rained out I only had 4 drivers. I scored my four drivers and thanks to my spare - Jr I DONE GOOD but it wasn't really fair so I put my 5th pick as finishing 43rd and went from an overall 7 to 15.6 (it seemed the fairest thing to do ;) but if anyone has any better ideas I'm open for suggestion)

This weeks' real winner:
Congratulations to ValerieK on her picks this week.
Congrats to this week's winner of the race Tony Stewart - way to stick out dude!

Was disappointed that Gordon's transmission quit on him but had read this week that in order to be in the top 10 at race 27 he just needed average finishes of 21st - he finished 21st ;) He just needs to be in it to win it so...we'll see what happens. Here's how we all lined up:
