Nascar Cafe/Dale Earnhardt, Jr./Will?

I know on the podcast this week it was mentioned that Dale Earnhardt, Jr. was going to be at City Walk (Nascar Cafe?) on Sunday to debut his new car or something like that. I think it was at 4:30 or so. I am not a racing fan, but when I mentioned it to my DH, he said he would like to go. (We are already going to be there this weekend.)

Didn't Will mention that he was going to be there? And Teresa or Kathy said they were too? Since I'm not a race fan, but I am a DIS fan , I thought I might try to track them down. For those that have seen them in the parks before and not really known them by sight, how do you know that it's them? Do they wear DIS shirts? I've seen a pic of Will before, but I'm not great at remembering what people look like.

If any of the team is planning on being there, I'll look for someone that looks like they are on "official" DIS business. I should be there with my tall, shaved-head DH, my wonderful MIL, and the two most adorable girls ever - a really blond, tall 6 year old and an adorable cherubic 16 mos old .

Jr. is sponsored by the National Guard and AMP energy drink, NOT A&P....

I was screaming into the Iphone as I was listening to them discuss A&P, if they existed any more, and not realizing that they are not sponsors of Jr.

Not a life threatening issue, but something to talk about.

i quickly realized after the show exactly what confused them AMP - A&P . AMP Energy drink is his sponsor for 09, or one of them anyways!

I was cracking up at this too! It's pronounced "amp"...like the thing you plug a guitar into...not "A-M-P" or "A&P"!!! It was an honest mistake that made for a good laugh, especially when I visualized Jr. driving around the track with a bag of groceries next to him!

Sorry, never made it to Nascar on Sunday. My daughter just HAD to do Spiderman a couple more times, and with 5 minute waits, who could argue? Maybe next time!

What? There's no more A&P. I never shopped there, but I remember one being in the quarter on Royal St. when I was a kid. I was in the Quarter frequently because I went to school at St. Louis Cathedral.
