NASA team loses contact with Mars rover

NOOOOOOO!!!

Oh, I hadn't heard this. How sad. I personally have been fascinated by space exploration and scientific discovery, and was also marveling at the incredible pictures that were transmitted.

I hope they can fix it . . . :(

Hrrmm...

Sure sounding like the obelisk from 2001:A Space Odyssey to SSB!

Yikes!

SSB, you go to too many movies, LOL.

Speaking of which, saw a great one from 1963 for first time ever LATE last night called "Irma La Douce" with Jack Lemmon and a very young Shirley MacLaine.

No Martian interference in that one though, Dan. :)

The little green men are getting tired of remote controlled vehicles being driven across their planet.

The very fact that they got that thing to Mars and it worked at all is mind blowing.

But for the price tag, I sure hope they get it fixed.

Are you certain about that SSB? There are times when I wonder whether or not Ms. MacLaine might be from another planet.

That's a great film. I'm surprised that you hadn't seen it before.

Good point, TC.

Hrrmmm... speaking of which, maybe someone should be asking SM where SHE was when the communication link went down!

Actually, perhaps we should be asking SSB where he was when the communication link went down. After all, he is the man with a rocket strapped to his back, thus possiibly putting a trip to Mars within his reach.
