While at MGM today, DD and I went through the Narnia exhibit again. We lingered at the end until we were the only ones there besides three CMs. I asked how long the exhibit would be open. We were told that it is only scheduled to be open for three months. It could get extended if it is very popular. If today is any indication, I doubt that will happen. There were only a handful of people going through the exhibit.

Yeah, Pirates of the Caribbean 2 sets are going to replace it at some point.

At what point is the 3-month window over? What date did the exibit open?

It started Dec 9 opening night for the movie. I remember this because we checked out Dec 5th, and missed it. Bummer. :(

Thanks, Peggy! This was the exact piece of info I had been watching for, and I hadn't been able to find it! From what I have been reading here about the exhibit it really would have only been useful around the time the movie was released - no need to keep it long term!

Why not a "the making of Narnia" exhibit like they used to do for the latest releases - now THAT would be awesome !! I'm disappointed that DNeph and I won't at least be able to see what little they DID do when we get back in June :sad1: - we would have loved to step through the wardrobe doors!

I may get flamed for this but here goes anyway..................I was VERY disappointed with this exhibit. It just seemed like one big movie trailer to me. I mean the wardrobe was cool and everything but it was NOT worth the 30 minute wait we had to get in. I will admit my children LOVE this movie (DS16 and DD10), but they too were disappointed. Not sure what we were expecing but we were surely disappointed. I wouldn;t get too upset about missing it if it isn't there when you go IMHO. :flower:

No flames, but we liked it. We went over Christmas week and also waited about 15 minutes to get in. It was so crowded we really couldn't see anything in the second room. We went back today. We waited 5 minutes to get in. There were only a handful of people with us. We were able to take our time and look at all the pictures and read about the costumes and props. No, it wasn't a big exhibit, but we still enjoyed it. We loved seeing the extended trailer again. I forgot to take my camera today. I plan on going back next week when the crowds are low so I can get good pictures of the set.

:sad1: I was hoping it would be there at the end of March too. If it's gone, they better already have the PoTC set up then....that's the only thing that would make it okay!

Oh, I hate to hear this! :sad1: "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" is my all-time FAVORITE children's book and I have read it to my 4th grade class every year for the past 18 years. :teacher:
I'm sure the attraction wasn't a headliner by any stretch of the means, but I was so looking forward to 'stepping into Narnia' this June. Oh, well...back to the book! :goodvibes

It's still there. We waited 30 minutes to get in for the "15 minute walking tour" and were sorely disappointed. Walking tour consisted of walking in to the film screen. Looked like the Disney Christmas tree storage room with white carpet. Watched a lengthy movie trailer. The door opened to what we thought would be the rest of the tour; the rest of the tour consisted of a case of a few props, and the exit to Mickey Avenue. My kids loved the money but were really angry that we waited so long for basically nothing. The only thing they disliked more was the "Great" Movie Ride. Don't waste your time. :sad2:

Totally agree with everything, including the not-so "Great" Movie Ride.

I was disappointed too, except for the fact it was cool in there and it was REALLY HOT outside that day.

OK, so does 3 months mean it will be gone by November?? I think Disney is releasing POTC Dead Man's Chest on DVD in time for Christmas. Maybe that will be the hype for the DVD release.
I don't know...Just thinking out loud. I missed seeing this by a few days last year. Oh Well.

What a bummer :(

I had wanted to check this out, but it's a little over a year before I'll be at WDW and I'm sure it will be gone by then.

Oh, well...

FWIW, I second the opinions that you aren't missing much if you haven't seen it. I absolutely love the Narnia books, read them as a child, couldn't wait for the movie. I, too, was VERY disappointed in the Narnia exhibit. Disney could've done so much more. It almost felt like an afterthought. It certainly didn't feel magical in the least. :confused3

Just MHO. :goodvibes

I really think this exhibit was just to peak your interest in Narnia since it was coming out in DVD. As I did not see it in the theater, it did look so interesting that I bought the DVD. There is not much to the exhibit ... a little bit of fun. The best part was the snow scene outside the exit (I think it was the exit!) ... where there was actual snow and you could take a pic. But don't be too disappointed if you miss it ... just watch the DVD and you are in the exhibit!
