Narcoossie's closed for refurb??? sep?

I just called to make my dinner reservations for Narcoossie's for Wed Sept 7th - yep, today's day 90. Anway the cm said it was listed as closed for refurb, but he couldn't find anywhere a time frame for reopening.
Anybody hear any more on this? Anybody have late Aug reservations at Narcoossie's?
I chose Artist Pt instead (want to stay in the MK resort area if possible), anyone have any other suggestions? We're saving California Grill for our last night.

I do! I do! I have an ADR for Aug. 30. OH I HOPE IT IS OPEN!! This is the one restaurant I really want to go to...

Thanks, maybe Labor Day weekend is when its closing??? Bummer for me but hopefully you'll get to enjoy. I'll keep calling just in case they "change their mind".

I'd like to find out an answer to this too! I'm not fortunate enough to have hit my 90-day mark yet! But I was planning on making a ps for Narcoossees for 9/17 - I'm looking forward to trying this restaurant as I've been wanting to eat there for a looooong time.

This is going to put my whole dining plan into a spin. I finally had finalized it but it included Naroccess for October 4th. AHH.

Just a quick little story.

Some years ago DH and I dined at Narcoosee's quite often & one particular trip IRONICALLY that EXACT date you're planning to go (I remember because we were going for DH's birthday on that EXACT day, 9-7). We were looking forward to the lobster, I had even called months ahead for the b-day cake as well.

We were seated and then handed the TOTALLY revamped the menu...looked nothing like what they had before (or what they have now!) We were soooo upset. There was no seafood on it!! Could you believe it!

So, the manager came over and apologized up & down, explained how the chef was trying this new menu, etc, etc since it was off-season. He said the only restaurant in that particular area he could recommend with seafood was the AP...he said their salmon was very popular. So he sent us over to MK to catch the WL boat. So off we went and had the most fabulous dinner!

He even made sure they had a cake for him and they did! It was great and to boot which was a total shock to us, the mgr at Narcoosee's bought our dinner at AP!!! I was just so impessed with how the situation was handled.

But, the moral was that we found a new place that we still love to go to! I still love their salmon and it is a relaxing, romantic atmosphere although 6 yr old dd loves it too

P.S. Obviously if you check out the menu now, there is seafood on it (as Narcoosee's should have)...it's actually similar to how it was before that chef pulled that fast one!!

JWFLA422 - Thanks for the story, its nice to know things do work out, even if not EXACTLy how planned! I was considering dropping the Artist Pt. ressie and instead all of us go for dinner at CRT (6 total, my 3 dds and my DB who was planning to hang with the girls while DH and I had our evening out). Of course, now that you make AP sound so good, I'm just not sure which way to go, too many choices, not enough nights!
I did call tonight and was told that Narcoossee's is available on the 6th (looks like the 7th is the first night of refurb, just my luck!) We could switch and go on the 6th, but I'm already set on spending our first night (6th) at AK evening EMH then over to Boma.
Oh well, that's what I get for too much planning!

I called CRO, because I need to make ressies soon for my October trip. After trying to find information for over 15 minutes, he came back and said they have no information that it is going into rehab. There is only one restaurant in Epcot that will be in rehab during that time period. Maybe you got bad info or maybe I got bad info. You may want to call back and try making one again.

I just got off the phone with a manager at Narcoosee...she informed me that they will only be closed on 9/7 and 9/8 ONLY.

nutsforgolf - I just read your reply and am laughing "it figures!" 9/7 and 9/8 were really the only 2 days that worked for me! Oh well, its not like we're going to starve, there are lots of other restaurants. I'm not sure if we'll stick with Artist Pt. or switch to somewhere else. Tomorrow morning is my 90th day to make my CaliGrill reservation, I'll be prepared if that's not available to switch to Narcoossee's!
