If I am making a dinner ADR for Narcoossee's to view 'Wishes' while we're there, what is the best time slot to book our dinner? Wishes is at 8pm.

Is 7:30pm the best time? Earlier? Later? Do people stop to watch mid-meal? Can all tables inside get a glimpse of the fireworks or do some tables require you to get up and go outside or somewhere else? We are going in February, so we will not want to dine out on the deck (if that is even an option) but if we can't watch from a window we wouldn't mind standing out there to see the show.

Thank you!

Sorry for the "Rubbish" replies. I reported them to the Moderators
If Wishes is at 8:00 I would make my ADR a bit earlier than 7:30, maybe 7:15. It is possible, even likely that you will have to wait to be seated.
Not every table in Narcoossee's has a great view, some are better than others. And even at the tables with great views, folks often go out on the deck and thereby obstruct the view of the tables inside.
Many/most people go out on the deck for Wishes. There is no outside seating available, but plenty of places to watch the Fireworks from.
Tell your server that you want to view Wishes and you can try to time your meal. But yes, you could leave the table mid entree and come back to finish, if it worked that way.
There is also the Electric Water Pageant that comes by, sometime around 9. I am not sure of the exact time from the GF. It is fun to watch as well.
Have a Great Night

Thank you for the info! I think I will book a 7:00pm ADR.

I never saw the spam, so great job reporting! Lol

Darn it, I just went to book my ADR and now only 6:10pm and 8:30pm is available, both bad times. :( I guess I will take 6:10pm and keep checking for a 7pmish cancellation.

you may end up liking that time anyway! you may have to wait a minute or two to be seated, then you will eat--signatures can be slow--and fireworks will be just as you're finishing up!! then you won't have to interrupt your meal to go outside and watch!!

6.10 sounds good to me. We have eaten & watched Wishes twice here and both times we have waited about 15-20 mins for a table. We have ordered dessert, gone outside to the deck to see Wishes, then back to eat our desserts. Your server will work with you on this. Both times we have had a fantastic evening.

You both are so sweet for reassuring me that 6:10pm won't be so bad. I suppose it will be fine, we will just try to take our time and enjoy the evening. We are generally fast eaters who are usually in and out of nice restaurants in 1hr or less so it may be a challenge to drag things out a bit, but we will just go with the flow!

Besides, if it makes me grumpy, I can just blame it on my husband for insisting we change our entire DDP schedule to accomodate for lobster! :rotfl: I had everything all planned out a month ago, then yesterday he casually mentioned that he's looking forward to ordering lobster somewhere...uhhh....:scared1: Only one restaurant with lobster! LOL! Luckily it all worked out that Narcoossee's had an opening at all. :thumbsup2

Thanks all!

Normally I would say to allot about two hours for a Signature meal, but you said you're quick eaters. I would keep trying for something around 7 pm, but if you slow down the meal, then 6:10 pm is probably fine.

With regards to the view it really depends on weather and the crowds. I was at Narcoossee's last December during a really cold spell. There was no one outside on the veranda, so the view from the tables on the inside was great!

This October, the weather was warmer so there people outside on the veranda. For the most part, it wasn't too crowded, so people did make an effort to stand where they wouldn't block the view of those inside. Still, you can clearly see the people in the photo below.

From outside on the veranda, the view is amazing. (This is the finale from HalloWishes.)

If you do end up staying around Narcoossee's after dinner (around 9 pm or so), the Electric Water Pageant comes around. It's a really cute show.

What beautiful photos, figment! Thank you! They have me even more excited now...I can hardly wait!

Just now I managed to secure a 7:25pm ADR so I dropped the 6:10pm one. Woo hoo! I had been checking multiple times per day and figured something would open up by February! I don't think I'll keep checking for a 7pm time...I'm pretty happy with 7:25pm. If we get seated right away, we will probably be getting our entrees right around 8pm when the fireworks start, and if we have to wait to be seated, we will at least have our table and drinks by 8pm.
