Narcoosee's Lobster Question...

Hey guys!

I was wondering about Narcoosee's Whole Lobster vs their Surf & Turf. From the pictures I have seen it just doesn't look like you get much more Lobster if you order the whole lobster for $58 instead of the Surf & Turf for $53 (prices may be inaccurate).

Is this an illusion created in the pictures that I have seen. I'm a huge lobster fan, but may opt for the Surf & Turf if the amount of lobster isn't considerably different. In all honesty, I've never actually has a whole lobster like this, so I don't know how much more meat is on it other than the tail.

ALSO: What are your opinions on the scallops there. Are they pretty large? A member of my group may want to switch the lobster tail on the Surf & Turf for the scallops instead... do they give you a decent number of scallops if they do this?

There is alot more lobster in the whole lobster than the surf and turf. The front claws and legs are great. Plus the tail is bigger and I believe a Maine lobster vs a warm water tail.

I was there in Nov. I ordered the surf and turf. The lobster was tasteless and rubber. I complained to the server and she explained that the lobster tail was the only thing on the menu that was prepared from frozen. The whole lobster is from fresh. I wish I had known this before I ordered. It was very disappointing.

I would not recommend the surf and turf. Just my opinion.

I've had the whole lobster there and it is delicious. Never had the surf and turf. Go for the whole lobster. Many other restaurants at Disney have good steaks, and you can have one the next night.

I can't answer the question about the whole lobster vs the tail, since I don't order the lobster there. However, I can tell you that when I ordered the Surf and Turf at Narcoosee this past Sept and substituted scallops for the lobster that I got a whole order of scallops. I know it was a whole order, because the lady sitting next to us ordered just the scallops and I got the same number that she did. I don't remember exactly how many I got, but she noticed them and we got to talking about getting the same number. She said that if she had known you could get the same amount on the surf and turf, that's what she would have done too.
