We have an ADR for this Saturday at 7:40pm. Wishes starts at 9 so it's perfect timing I think.

I have heard from some that they pipe in the music, but from others that you can't hear it.

Has anyone been recently and knows how they are doing it- say in the past couple months?

I am so excited to go! This is my first time as an adult going to WDW and when I was a kid I didn't like it b/c I wanted to ride big roller coasters (I was a Cedar Point fan, still am). As odd as it sounds I really feel like I can finally "feel/get the magic" as an adult that I never got as a kid. I was "too cool" for WDW as a child! :lmao:

I am so excited to see Wishes, I've NEVER seen the fireworks- not even as a child! :)

We were there on Aug 31st, music is piped in. You can also head out to the deck to see Wishes. You can probably see the Electric Water Parade (if there is one that night) from any seat in the house.

Tip: Try the Mango smoothie as your beverage, ooh la la!

So I have my list:
There is Wishes, Spectromagic, Fantasmic and Illuminations....

which one/are any of the above the "water parade" you speak of?

We were there on 9/22 and yes, the music is piped in. It was our favorite meal of the trip (also ate at LeCellier & Coral Reef). We had an ADR but hubby asked when we checked in for a window seat. Hostess told us it would be an additional 45 minute wait after our ADR time but it wasn't. She must have been in a bad mood. We got our window seat and watched Wishes from there. LOVED IT! Oh, and the food is GREAT! Enjoy :)

None of the above it is literally a parade of electric floats across the Seven Seas Lagoon, the "lake" in front of the Grand Floridian, Poly, and can be seen from outside MK, not part of the park. Our 5yo was really taken by this as the floats flash and even change shape. There are animals, American Flags, etc. its very fun.Cheesy, but fun. Consider it a WDW bonus. :thumbsup2

BEWARE though that if you manage a window seat, you may STILL have to go out on the deck to see the fireworks. The outside deck area is not large, and is level with the tables inside. At Wishes time, folks in the restaurant stream outside to watch the show. If there are enough of them, their standing on the deck will effectively block the view from inside. The deck area is not large, and if there is a crowd, there is no place for them to move to get out of the way.
Which is why when we eat at Narcoossee's, we just go outside and watch the show no matter where we're seated. It gives us more of a feel for the whole thing, and hearing the music is no problem!!
