I KNOW this has been asked over and over (well I am assuming it has been ;) ) but with the dining plan can you order the surf & turf at Narccoossee's? Thinking that my dh would love to eat here and that would be his choice!

Thanks

As of September (we were there during the free DDP), you could order it... I know because I had it and it was WONDERFUL! Enjoy! :woohoo:

SOUNDS WONDERFUL! I am trying to decide between there and CG....any thoughts or inputs????

I went three weeks ago and YES they do! YUM...

If you guys are more into seafood, I would definitely try this place!

I know.. it's me posting back again... lol

But anyways, my DH and I were always CG people -- we pretty much go there every trip. It does have a wonderful view, good atmosphere (although can get quite noisy at times), service is pretty good (we have a waiter that we specifically request now, and he even gave us his email.. lol). I do love the food there as well (the sushi made with mame nori {soy paper} being my fav thing about there!)

but....

our first trip to narcoossee's was this September and we were BLOWN away. It's a little more quaint and I loved the view of the water! Our food was SUPERB -- it honestly blew CG out of the water. We had excellent service - our waitress didn't seem overwhelmed (As they do at CG most of the time unless you go to dinner EARLY)and absolutely NOTHING to complain about. Don't even get me started about the desert.... Mmmmmm!

So even still being a CG fan... I'd definitely recommend Narcoossee's over it. I can't wait to be back there in December!

At Narcoossee's absolutely everything on the menu is available for dining plan guests. I ordered the Surf and Turf substituting scallops for Turf, yummy for my tummy. Our waiter, Chevy got the Yes out before I could finish asking if it was an allowable substitution. Great place, nothing to fear or complain about.

OK..you almost have me convinced 100% :lmao: however, seeing as I have dined at CG but not Narccoossee's...how do the views compare? If at the window, will we see Wishes? I would love to see Wishes but with a wonderful water view as well! I really enjoyed CG when there in June but I can honestly say that I am not a "daring" eater. I had the filet and it could be cut with a butter knife but I had the sauce for it on the side....did not care for it! Felt like a filet that wonderful deserved more than a BBQ sauce! Now the peppercorn sauce is just my style! It is going to be my (gasp) 40th bday celebration with dh while kids are at the Cubs Den....decisions decisions! LOL

At this point you just have to decide to take a leap into the shallow end. We've told you its wonderful, either you try it for yourself or stick with the same old same old. Did you say you're turning 40, hmmm...new trick? ;)

Happy Birthday! I've been there, done that.

we ate at narcoosees twice last september '06 on the free DDP and loved it! had the whole lobster, crabcakes and the amazing almond crusted cheesecake - going back in 2 weeks, again to eat at narcoosees twice during our week's visit - can't wait!!! :yay:

Again....the food at Narccoossee's is more appealing to me but I was asking about the view of MK in my last post...any thoughts?

Thanks for the bday wishes!!!:goodvibes

Yes, you can see Wishes. The last time we were there, they dimmed the lights and brought up the show music, like they do at CG. It's very lovely. It's just a different perspective than the one you get from the CG. Oh, and we left our table for a bit and stood out on the deck for a better view. Depending on your timing, you can also see the Water Parade. We'll be back there in December.:santa:

THANKS!!!

Hi, Thanks for posting this about subbing the scallops! I do not usually eat meat but would love to do this with the scallops. We will be dining here on 10/20. Thanks, Joan

If you can time it right and are done with dinner, go outside the restaurant and around where the boat dock is. You can catch Wishes there in full view. BUT I don't think you'll be able to hear the music. I'm not sure though...:confused3

Or... have an earlier dinner around 5pm (when they first open) and then grab the monorail, it's just one stop, and you'll have the best view ever!!!

Chevy is an awesome server! One of my favorites. When we were there in August 2006 for free dining he actually read my mind and said "you can order the surf and turf, if that's what you're thinking". The steak was excellent but the lobster tail was a little tough - I'm spoiled by living in New England, I guess.

Its soooooo yummy too.

All 4 of us had it.

so so good. good sized lobster tail too.

for 4 of us dinner was over 400 bucks...so good usee of 2 DDP credits :thumbsup2

I guess I'm the only dissenter so far in this thread but my wife and I had the 2lb lobster on the DP last December and we were both not impressed (maybe because lobster is fairly common here in CT and this was nothing special about it). We've been to Narcoossees on several occasions and still believe it is the weakest of all the signature restaurants.

I've seen this mentioned by a few people - how did you think to ask about that? Is it an option on the menu already?

That would totally be the best of both worlds - I'm currently debating between scallops and lobster. Scallops and lobster together would be perfection!

We celebrated my husband's Bday on 9/24/07. Allan was our most excellent server.
We asked if anyone on the plan ever ordered anything else....he was jovial and said YES- sometimes they order the Lobster!

We both ate the Surf/Turf and each had a tender, sweet lobster tail with our steak. We enjoyed the entire meal without feeling rushed or cheap for being on the plan.

Try the cheese plate as an appetizer - it was different from everything else that week!

Look for the Picture made of sugar on the chocolate cake. It was Cinderella and the Prince.

We were there at the end of September. It was incredible. We had the surf & turf and the whole lobster. We had a fantastic window seat. When wishes began they turned down the lights and piped in the music. The iew lew us away. We couldn't believe how fabulous everything was and it was on the ddp. Well worth the 2 credits. California Grill was always a must, we have added Narcoosees to that "must do" list.
