Naps/Breaks without the kids

We always take an afternoon break. We only have three in our family, one son 12. When we were there in Aug, we left the park by noon each day and hit the pool for several hours before going out to dinner, either at a park or a resort. This had to be the best and most relaxing vacation we have had at WDW in a long time.

We have only stayed at a park all day one time and it was terrible. We arrived about 8 and left about 9PM. We were exhausted. We were supposed to go back to the parks the next morning before we left to go home, but we were so tired from an all day stay that we headed home instead.

We take a break, might be just a swim or head to a movie at DTD or take a nap. But we leave the park. It will still be there the next time we go.

we get up early, go hard, go back and nap or swim in the afternoon, and then back to another park in the evening. love my naps, and still get to do everything. it is all in the planning... again, love to nap.

I need my nap. After the park, we go back to our room. The children play in the room and watch tv. I nap and sometimes they nap too.

It's hard not to nap in the middle of the day, especially when the heat drains your energy out.

How many people would go back to the hotel for a nap if you didn't have kids? I am the type of person who does not like sleep at all, so I couldn't imagine wasting precious park time sleeping in my hotel.

How about you?

I can't imagine wasting precious RESORT time in the parks. We're DVC and I love the resorts. We spend 3, maybe four hours at the park a day and the rest of the time relaxing at the resort. We love it.
