Names you and your family call something that no one else seems to say...

Okay, I just had to ask if you guys call an object by another name that apparently isn't that common?

I have always called a toilet a flush. Apparently all my friend think that's weird and don't call it that.
Does anyone call it that, or has heard it be called that?

And do you have any examples like that?

i think i have heard someone call the toilet that before.

the only thing weird that i say isn't even with my family.
but me and my friend call school buses "iron pimps", but it is kinda an inside joke.

we eat weird things lol or they do but there my famly lol umm mayo in black eyed peas and may on cornbread(i no gross but they eat it)

also we say wats that got to do with the price of eggs in china instead of tea

haha I don't know how uncommon this is but.....

My family and I call the Picadilly (I don't know if this is a restaurant only where I live or what) but we call it the "Pilly"

I call my grandma my 'Me-Ma' but I think most people have unique names for grandparents/family members.
We say that the laundry basket is a hamper and none of my friends call it that though. We also call my pool house an edifice. I don't even know if that's an accurate name for it.

My maternal grandparents were/are Yaya and Yayu.

That's the only thing I can think of though.

My maternal grandparents and great-grandma (I never knew my great-graddad) were Memère, Pepère, and Big Memère respectively, but I've heard other people refer to theirs with those names.

As for grandparent names I have to say I think I have one of the most original names.
My gramma is Gubbie & my grampa is P.
long story...couldnt pronounce it properly when i was a baby, and Gubbie & P just stuck.

Also my family calls the TV remote the 'changer'...everyone always thinks its weird.
Also people always comment when I call dinner "supper", don't really know why.

Caitlin reminded me of something. Me and my family called the tv remote the "box." Not sure why, but I've never heard of anyone else call it that.

the phone is called the portable, we call our honda fit "the demmy", the cats are called "the meows" haha. xD

We call a Lap Top a Lappy, and baked beans with hot dogs are Beanie Weenies. XD

Grandparents are grammy & grampy.

Remote is a flipper.

Potatoes for me are pudatoes.

Parents are 'mooma' an 'pappy' sometimes. My dog is 'poopy' or baby muffin cakes xD

Okay I thought of some more.

- Anything we can't think of the word for, it's a thing/thinger/thingy. IE; temporary brain fart causes us to forget the word remote, we'll say "Where's the thing that changes the channel!?"
- The cats are the meow-meows, and the dog is the woof-woof.
- We say Beenie Weenies for pork and beans too.

We also call stuff, "The thingy," when we can't remember what it's called.

My friends and I call cow's Moo Cows.

My mom and dad call the remote control for our T.V. a "zapper".
