Names of motels/hotels along HWY 5 - Central area toward Disneyland

Trying to figure out the name of a hotel we see along the way, but having trouble finding info or figuring it out.

Southbound direction of HWY 5 toward Disneyland, before the Grapevine and before the Magic Mountain area, kind of in the middle of nowhere area of HWY 5, where the gas stations are and small fast food places. Anyone remember the names of some of the places?

There is a Ramada Inn before you get to the Grapevine. We've stayed there twice!

Hmm, sounds to me like you're thinking of Gorman? I don't know of any hotels/motels there offhand, but if you're talking before the Tejon Pass (Grapevine) that comes to mind. And actually, Grapevine itself is a little town there too--not sure if they have hotels. I think Lebec, near the Tejon Ranch, does though.

To answer your question, my guess is either Gorman or Lebec.

Lebec has a Best Western Hotel. We stayed there in January when we hit a rainstorm the likes of which I had never seen before. I'm from BC and it rains a lot here, but that rain was INSANE.

I know about 5-10 miles from there there was another hotel because my mother in law was crazy and wanted to keep driving to it. I can't remember what it was though, a Super 8 or something.

Lebec is the town where the Ramada Inn is!
