I remember a while ago people talking about these companies that hire people to set up those displays in stores and hand out samples. There were a couple of company names and websites listed. I looked at them but at the time I wasn't interested in pursring it. Now I'm thinking it wouldn't be a bad idea, but I didn't bookmark the websites.
Does anyone still have that info? I would appreciate it.:yay:
Thanks,

You could check on the forums for Volition.com. They have the list of many reputable companies there.

I would even talk to the manager of the store so see if they can forward your name to the brokers. Brokers (my Dad is one, he represents several brands of food- a broker may represent everything from fresh chicken to frozen pizza to cereal), has to hire their own people to do demos. Problem is a broker may cover several states and has a hard time finding people and are always "asking around".

Depending on the grocery store, you may need to provide your own supplies (table, tray, cooking items like a toaster oven or electric skillet).

mass connections was the big one we had the thread going about. You can check them out at stayingconnected.com.

I haven't worked with them in over a year but it wasn't bad work for the money.

I "work" handing out samples, but haven't had any work since January. The economy has really hit this type of job hard!

Yes, I used to do the demos for Mass Connections too and have not done one since last year. They lost Target to some other company. Most stores also cut way back on any demos. If they do any it seems to be in house now since they pay them min. wage. The money was good too-$14-20 an hour. The higher end was for liquor ones. Too bad:(

I used to do this kind of work and haven't had any work all year long either. Its just completely dried up.

You can certainly apply, and get hired. These types of jobs are first come first served. The jobs get listed online, and whoever grabs it first, gets it. Problem is, NOTHING has been listed all year long. Nothing.

You would be better off looking for other types of work.
