In no order:

1. Van Halen - Van Halen

2. Poison - Look What the Cat Dragged In.

3. Madonna - Madonna

Carole King - Tapestry

Norah Jones - Come away with me

Wilson Phillips - Willson Phillips

Carole King is stretching the time limits, eh? 1971, I think?

Taking into consideration what's "classic" from my generation, I'll say:

1. August and Everything After - Counting Crows
2. Sublime - Sublime (technically their 3rd album but it was their major debut)
3. toss-up between The Chronic - Dr. Dre or Ready to Die - Notorious BIG

All of my very favorites would be older than the 30 year limit, but three of my favorite "newer" debut CDs are:

Counting Crows -August and Everything After (GoodFairies, ya beat me to it :)
Dire Straits - Dire Straits
Matchbox Twenty - Yourself or Someone Like You

30 years, hmmm? That's out of my power curve, so I can only come up with a couple, and the first is 34 years old...

Manhattan Transfer (1975)

Marshall Crenshaw (1982)

Boston - has to be the best debut album of all time:thumbsup2

That was 1976 so I hope it qualifies as 30ish:lmao:

oh... I agree with Counting Crows AAEA

Nirvana - Nevermind (1st major label release)

Dookie- Green Day :goodvibes

1. Bon Jovi... Bon Jovi
2. Daughtry... Daughtry
3. Goo Goo Dolls... Goo Goo Dolls... released YEARS before A Boy Named Goo (the album Name was on)

1:Nirvana~Nevermind
2:AC/DC~Back In Black
3:Metallica~The Black Alblum

1. Van Hagar - 1985 - 5150
2. Boston - Boston - 1976
3. Appetite For Destruction - 1987 - Guns N' Roses
If I was allowed an 'ish' it would be Rush - Rush -1974 :3dglasses

Foo Fighters - Foo Fighters (1995) (though the album was actually just Dave Grohl himself singing and playing all instruments with the exception of Greg Dulli of the Afghan Whigs, who played guitar on 1 track. Dave didn't think it would be anything big at all, so he just picked a name that sounded like it was a whole band instead of just him, and then when it all blew up he had to assemble a band to tour with him.)

Neil Finn - Try Whistling This (1998)

Sunny Day Real Estate - Diary (1994)

Them Crooked Vultures - Them Crooked Vultures (2009)

I couldn't pick just 3. :lovestruc
