You know the stones that are engraved into the walkways at MK,GF etc, which show if you got married there or couples. How do you know where yours is? How do you remember?

I just did a search on the "Leave a Legacy tiles" and on another thread from 5/05 it said that Disney can look it up for you right near where the pictures are taken. Also, someone said they take their picture in front of their tile close enough to show the number & a picture further away to show what letter stone it's on. They just have to remember the row though.

I think the OP meant the walk around the world bricks not leave a legacy. They don't do the bricks any more, but I believe you are given a brick number and location. Tikiman proposed to his wife via one!!

You got a certificate with the ref no on it. Or alternatively you take a picture (where you can see the number) keep a vague recollection of where it was :)

Yes, we've taken pictures for the number, but also just sort of "remember" where it is from trip to trip. We know it's on the walkway towards the boat launch where the crub jets out a little, and from there it's just a hunt to try to be the first in our family to find it. For some reason, our stone is a slightly different color from the ones around it (or maybe we just imagine it is), so we can usually find it fairly quickly! It's even easier for me in Disneyland, cause my brick is right on the end, beneath the monorail, in front of the entrance to Disneyland.

If you no longer have the certificate or pictures of your brick, I imagine you can phone guest services and they'll track it down. I doubt they'd have gotten rid of all records of the bricks.

Ours is right under the monorail tracks and nine bricks out from the light pole in front of guest relations. Now, if they move the monorail tracks, guest relations, and the light pole, then we're in big trouble. For now, we're OK after a few minutes of looking.

We are located right in line with the stroller rental on the MK side of the monorail. There were 2 huge grease spots on it this trip :sad1: , which made it easier to find!

Does any one know if they will 'renew' your brick if anything happens to it? It seems some 'newer' brick have been installed.

My parents still saved our cert! I just remembered where it was though and we have an old picture of it that I looked at for the number. There used to be a stand outside of the MK that you could go to and ask them and they would locate your brick for you.

Although I brought all the paperwork with us which I had saved from when we purchased the brick , I left it back at the hotel on the day we were going to look for our brick. I'm pretty sure we ended up going to the Guest Services window and they were able to look up our brick number for us and provided us with the map of the walkway. This was two years ago, however.

We didn't visit the brick last year when we went, but now we're headed back again this October and I'm curious if it will still be there...we purchased our brick in 1996 when we got married, and I'm pretty sure our paperwork said after 10 years Disney has the right to do whatever with it. :( Hopefully it will still be there!

If they need to remove any (for new installations, etc.) they MOVE the brick and can provide you info with its new location.

They are not in the process of removing bricks... and I can't see this happening any time soon. No reason to install new "plain" bricks.

Ours is right in front of the Magic Kingdom entrance. It's close to the last tree on the right as you look at the train station. But every time we are there and looking for it, we have a hard time finding it. We do, but it takes a while. A classic was when one lady, who had limited English, saw us looking for it. She was sitting on the nearby bench and when we did find it, she jumped up and started shouting "IS THAT YOU BRICK? IS THAT YOU BRICK?" I think she was more excited than we were!

We just always seem to know the general area of all our bricks (four families purchased them long long ago). Good news for my brick is that it's located in front of the Magic Kingdom just to the right and since they now have security, it does not get that much foot traffic so it should stay in good shape for sometime to come.

I thought the bricks were a great idea, and we bought one at WDW and Disneyland when they were offered. Every once in a while we'll check our brick at WDW, right at the boat ramp and Monorail exit, but the one at DL would take a few minutes to find.

I never liked the Legacey pictures and I hate the granite tombstones in front of SE. When I am elected king of Disney parks I will bulldoze them!

Not everyone feels that way about them.
I like the sculptures.
My DW and I have a pic there, and my DNephew and DNiece do as well.

I like to see the pics when we visit Epcot, and its nice to think of them being there (along with our brick over near TTC tram-loading) when we are not at WDW.

So, change your "bulldoze the monoliths" position or there are 4 votes you won't be getting when you campaign for King o' Disney Parks.

I've seen the pictures on the scuptures at Epcot. Are they still doing that? Any info. would be great! :)

Robo- you made me smile...

I never used the term "monolith" although that is what I too, consider the "Jersey Walls".

Although my platform remains the same, I intend to rebate the purchase price to everyone, and I will relocate the "monoliths" to the parking lot. The entrance to EPCOT will once again be restored to beautiful.

However, I do respect your opinion, and Disney thanks you for your contribution. I'm sure my honesty will get your votes!
