Naive question about FP+ Reservation for Avatar Flight of Passage

We are 39 days out from our next WDW trip and we do not have FP+ yet for Flight of Passage. (I would have normally been all over this much earlier, but due to arrangements we need to make on other fronts I just couldn't get that set up--and won't be able to for a day or two more.) Am I correct to assume that there will be zero possibility of scoring a FP+ for that attraction at this point in the game?

If I can't, this will just have to be a miss. I don't see ANY scenario in which we would wait 5-6 hours to get on the attraction.

Not impossible, less likely yes, but not impossible. If you cannot get it, show up an hour before park opening and go straight there, it will not be 5-6 hours. Do not miss it, it is an outstanding attraction, one of Disney's best!

How many are in your party? If there aren't any available for your whole party, try getting one at a time. You may have to split up time-wise, but it's easier to find a FP for one person. Check often! I got us ROL FP when it first came out and checked about every 15-20 min. By the end of the day I had 2 FP.

Does anyone know if they have same-day fast passes for FOP? Not sure if they hold any fast passes for those that buy their tickets the same day that they go into the park and then just use the fast pass kiosks. If so, this might be an option to try.

- Not impossible
- Keep checking
- Check for overlapping times for your party, we do often
- Rope Drop
- If onsite, EMH
- Watch all reports on wait time
- The other night I think around 9 pm posted photo showed 40 minute wait
- Might be rare but if you get a partial group, on arrival go to a Kiosk and see if they will copy the others to your FP+

No, Disney doesn't hold back. That said we've picked up tough ones day of when folks happen to change plans and cancel.

It is highly highly unlikely you will get one same day. A few people on the Pandora thread tried to coordinate dropping FOP FP day of so another DISer could pick them up and they never appeared. There are some theories that Disney is not even releasing same day drops back into the pool, but that is unconfirmed and could change.

They do not.

I was just at the parks last week on Mon/Tue and if you rope drop you should be only looking at about an hour wait. Totally worth it IMO. We did RD on Monday EMH and waited an hour, then RD Tuesday without EMH and it was about a similar wait.

What time did you arrive to the park on both days? We will be there in a few weeks and I was hoping to do the same thing - rope drop fop on an emh day and again on a regular morning.

We arrived at about 6:45am to the parking area for AK on the EMH day (7AM EMH) and on the regular morning at about 7:50am to the parking area for AK (8AM opening).
