Hey ladies (or men)

Do you use Nair or Veet?
How does it work?

And, most importantly, which specific type of Nair or Veet do you use?

I just bought some Veet. It is the 'New Formula'... It is in the blue pump dispenser bottle. I think it is for sensitive skin. DO NOT BUY THIS!!!! It is going in the trash, and I will be sending them an email. It is just nasty... it is supposed to be like a lotion/cream. Well, you might as well be slathering lard all over your skin... So GROSS.... even in the hottest water it does not dissolve or melt... So, when you use the little scraper thing, it is not rinsable... just big greasy globs that would probably stop up the drain. I used paper towels to wipe off the little scraper, and had a trash can full of nasty smelling greasy paper towels. Don't even think about the nasty smelly grease left on your skin, even after showering. OMG, how nasty.

Is there a particular type of Nair or Veet that anyone can recommend?

I don't mind shaving my legs....
But, we actually bought this for my husband....
He has this 'thing' about getting some hair on his back....

Thanks!

Left unshaven, I am like gorilla-hairy. I need to shave my legs every single day. This stuff has never worked for me. Once in a while, I'll give it another try, but it just doesn't work. But that's probably just me and my freakish amount of leg hair.

I had the same experience with that stuff. I haven't found anything that works without blistering my skin. I don't want to use it all the time but occasionally it would be nice. If you find something let me know.

I use Sally Hensen Extra Strength Hair Remover Lotion. They come in very bright colored bottles and are about $3 a bottle at WalMart. I love this stuff! I hate shaving. I tend to cut myself every time I shave. I have been using this for about 2 years now. It says that it will take the hair off in 2 or 3 mins but I have to leave it on longer. BUT it does work! That is the best part. I have sensitive skin and this doesn't burn or leave a rash. I can put this on my legs once a week and have no worries.

I've tried them all - Nair makes my legs bleed, and all the other brands didn't work. Then I heard about this stuff called Gold Magic Powder; it's formulated for black men's beards (usually sold in the African-American haircare products section, btw), and it works beautifully for me. It's a little messier since you have to mix it with water but soooo worth it!

I shave. I have just never been impressed with any hair remover-it just doesn't live up to the claim that it lasts longer than shaving, at least for me.

I use Veet Fresh Sensations - comes in a green can. Has always worked like a charm for me! :thumbsup2 I've got sensitive skin and it doesn't irritate my legs at all.

I just use the regular Nair lotions and it's enough for me. I do have very fine hair though, but I have a lot of it.
