MYW with Dining Bal. due 45 days but what if we pay it sooner and

then drop one night off before the 45 days period. Will that take the difference and leave on the reservation for possible spending money if we ask then to?

Did you know you can actually make payments on your reservation? Can be done by mailing a check or via credit card over the phone. Can pay the whole total or any part of it.

One thing you could do (since you seem to be considering shortening your trip by 1 night) is to figure out what your package costs minus one night lodging and food plan and pay that up anytime you want. Then as it gets closer to the 45 day mark and you want to cancel a day, you can and Disney won't have any of your money.

Or if you prepay it all, when you cancel a night you should instruct the person at CRO you want the remaining balance left on your account (which yes, they can do) as spending money-- otherwise they will seek to refund you via check or credit card (however you paid in the first place).

Thanks for the info. The only reason I want to cancel dinning for the lsat night is because I want to make a room only reservation for Jan. 1st using my AAA discount. We always go to Downtown Disney and eat at RFCafe and we will do this on the lst day adn maybe orser pizza for supper.

I have to make the deposit by March 31st. Then before Nov. 11th I will pay the orginal price and make the changes. I can't book room only with AAA for 2007 because they don't have the rates for next year yet and the AAA discount won't be availalbe until June.

I want to pay it all off at one time and get me Disney rewards $$ for it. Having the balance as spending money will come in handy. That is the reason for the question. In the past with a room only reservation I over paid and actually they had to send me a check because we didn't spend it all.

Also, don't forget if you do pay for it before the 45 day mark that you keep checking for discounts and have them applied. Our trip has to be paid by May 1 (going 6/16-6/26) and I'm hoping maybe a discount will come out before then.. (I did my trip online and make payments online..very convenient for us!)

Oh how I wish there may be discounts but our travel dates are 12/28-01/02/07. So the only break i think I can get is the AAA discount for the room only.
