MYW tickets and upgrading to AP photo downloads

So wondering if anyone has used MYW tickets had photo pass photos taken then upgraded to AP. Were you able to download all your photos for free? Want to make sure I will be able to download the photos from before we upgrade. Reason I'm asking is I want to upgrade to the gold pass as our trip next year doesn't fall in blackout dates. We are going this year in blackout dates and want to save some money by doing the tickets and then upgrade to the gold. Thanks for your help

According to the rules listed with the Annual Pass the downloads are only good for the dates on which you have an Annual Pass- since Christmas time this year is the first time people will have first hand experience of this and try out how things are going to work- if you will even be allowed for sure to upgrade to a gold pass if you used blackout dates (people assume they will be able to since that has been done for Florida residents in the past but Disney has not put out anything that specifically states they will allow it). So thew answer is there is a possibility that you might be able to download pictures from before you upgrade but you may not be able to do so and no one will have firsthand experience until after the blackout dates begin this year- in other words you are one of the guinea pigs for all of these things with the new passes.

Thanks. Just wondering if anyone has used tickets and upgraded to the AP and have been able to get all their photos. If they have then I'll take my chances on getting the gold. If not then I'll have to buy at least one plat AP and then try to upgrade the other 4 tickets to gold AP. I know when I talked to ticketing they said I could upgrade my tickets to the gold AP. But photo downloads would not be free before I upgraded. So my trip wouldn't have free downloads even though the AP dates back to the beginning of my trip
