MYW Passes also non-transferable?

I know that on the old park hopper passes it stated that those passes were non-transferable and I know the "non-transferable" aspect of park hopper passes has been debated on this forum...whether or not it's right to allow a friend to use a day or two leftover on your multi-day park hopper.

Does anyone know if they have a system in place to enforce this on the new MYW passes? For instance when I use my annual pass I have to do the "2 finger scan" to identify myself. Are they doing anything like that with these passes or are they still just sliding them through the reader at the gate without any identification?

I know Disney wants to find a way to enforce that, but I was afraid that would create some long lines at the gates to identify each person. That 2 finger scan sometimes takes a few tries.

Anyone know?

The MYW adult passes are coded with biometrics on your first use.

I just got one of the new MYW tickets and no where on the ticket does it say you need to activate it. Has anyone used one of these new tickets yet and had to activate it?

There is no activation. You sign the back of the pass, and apparently that's all there is to it.

Thanks. I've seen other threads about them being biometric and that you need to go to Guest Services for a finger scan before use.

If they are like APs you'll "encode" it the first time you use it.

Finger scan will be done when you enter the park.
