I have booked the package for Oct trip with free dining. I purchased a 6 day park hopper for the ticket portion. Can I upgrade that 6 day park hopper for an AP before I use it the first day?

We did this for DD, the only catch was now her AP expires when the park hopper was originally purchased. Something they did not tell us until after the transaction was completed. Had we known this we may not have done it. Now if for any reason we need to postpone our second trip, her AP will expire before we go and will have been a waste of money.

Well, I am not absolutely sure. These transactions have to be done at Guest Relations (or is it Guest Services?) at the parks, at DTD, or at a Disney resort. So you could not do it before you got to Disney.

I don't know if this would help, but I think that the AP SHOULD be dated from the first USE of the hopper pass, not from the day it was purchased. I would definately ask at Guest Relations (Services?) when you go to WDW.
