MYW package, DDP & Tickets

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to ask this on, but here it goes...

We are going to DW in Feb for 5 days , there will be 4 of us, myself, DH, DD10 and DN13. We have 3 10-day non-expiring PH, but we want to get the MYW package with DDP for all 4 of us. Do we have to purchase an extra 1-day tickets for 3 of us, along with the PH for my nephew or can we just get the PH for DN and that will get us the DDP?

Yesterday we bought a package, with dining, for April. We also have 10 day, non-expiring tickets. We did have to buy, each individual, a 1 day ticket to receive the dining plan. We bought one with no options on it. We felt it was still worth it. Another reason to go back, have tickets!

The DDP is available only as part of a package. A "package" is, by definition, the purchase of a room and tickets at the same time. So even if you already have tickets, you have to buy at least a minimal ticket (such as a 1-day ticket with no add-ons) in order to buy the DDP.

Also, each person's package must be identical. This means that when you make the reservation, you will book a package that includes a 1-day base ticket for each of the four of you. AFTER you check-in at your resort, however, you are welcome to upgrade any tickets you bought. It's at that time that you can add to your DN's ticket so that he can have park tickets for as many days as he needs. So if you folks will be doing 5 park days, his package reservation will include just the 1-day base ticket, but at check-in you can upgrade his ticket to a 5-day ticket (plus any add-ons you'd like), and it'll be the same price as if you'd ordered him the 5-day ticket in advance.

this is some good information to know i have already booked but hopefully they will let me change it. i had originally planned to stay offsite until last weekend and had already purchased my tickets before they went up, but didnt know about this so i just said that i would take the 5 day park hopper again. hopefully, i can change it and will tell them that i just want a 1 day ticket
