MYW/FreeDDP package...upgrading from base tix at check in...

Please bear with me as we have never booked a package before, always room only and purchesed tickets seperate AND have never used DDP.

We currently have our package set up w/4 adult price 9 day hoppers. We would like to change that to the minimum ticket requirement of a 1 day base per person so that we are paying for less up front, 45 days out. We would like to then upgrade back to the 9 day hopper upon check in. We will be at our resort 2 days prior on a seperate room only ressie, and then we will "re-check" in on our second ressie which is the package. At that time we will activate our park tix and the free DDP.
Can we do/pay the ticket upgrade at the resort when we activate the DDP, or do we need to stay w/the base ticket and go to guest relation at a park to upgrade the tickets?

You can do any ticket upgrades at the resorts as soon as you check-in. In fact, since we are going during hurricane season, this is exactly what we are doing. That way , God forbid a hurricane hits while we are there, we won't buy as many days...and I dont like paying more than I have to up front.

It is less expensive to call now and add before you arrive. In December I decided to add a day and add the hopper option. When I called it was less expensive than waiting until arrival. I think it was like $17 per person less than I had expected and when I asked and the CM told me it was because it was discounted if purchased/changed before arrival.

Hi everyone, I just wanted to ask this question just in case its not possible. My DH2B and I booked a package in Nov. and got 8 day MYW tickets with water park option and more, but we wanted to upgrade to the florida resident premium annual pass when we arrive? is that possible? can we just pay the difference and upgrade to the annual pass?
