MYW Dining vs. DDE?

Let me start by saying that I know you cannot have the MYW Dining if you are an AP holder. Also I know that you cannot have the DDE unless you are an AP holder.

I am wondering if buying an AP would be worth it to us, & if so we'd get the DDE. The MYW dining seems like a better deal for our family though..not sure which direction to go..

Get the MYW dining & MYW way 7 day tickets for Oct.(there is a possibilty we may be lucky enough to go again for 7 days in Aug 2006) That's why I am even thinking about the AP.

Or we can get an AP & the DDE but be limited on counter service places.

Would the MYW dining plan save us more $ than the DDE?

It really depends on where you want to eat. My boyfriend and I really enjoy the restaurants at the World Showcase (the ones that would require 2 table seatings because they are considered "signature") and some other places that are not included in MYW. Therefore, we see the DDE card to be more beneficial to us. However, I've heard that the MYW Dining is great for families. I think you should look into the restaurants you'd want to go to before making a decision. Also take a look at the prices and calculate MYW vs. DDE. We did that and we went with the DDE.

If you knew you really were going to use your AP again within a year, I would consider it. If you are unsure, I would go with MYW + Dining.
MYW does limit more eating places. But there is still quite a selection. And I think the price is good. (Unless you have kids that are lost in the middle where you would have to pay for adult meals and the kids are pre-teens.)
The DDE card is great. But it is still $ on top of the cost of an AP.

If the adults in your group tend to have beer or wine with meals then the DDE can help, since MYWD does not cover alcohoic beverages but DDE does (and it even works without meals in the hotel lounges).

Also, it is available to Florida residents even without an AP.
