My room/tickets package is already paid for but now I'm interested in purchasing the dining plan. Is it possible to pay for this once I get to DW? Or is it only available in advance? If it is only available in advance, will I need to have this paid off 45 days before my vacation?

If you are more than 45 days out from your vacation, I think that you can modify your trip to include the dining plan for no charge. If you are less than 45 days out, then you might have to pay the 50$ change fee.

I'm pretty sure that you have to add this on in advance (not sure how far, but from what I've read you can't add at check-in). Your package balance would be due 45 days prior to arrival. I would contact your travel agent (or Disney if you booked directly) to get the full details.

You can't purchase it once you get there. You would have to call re-book your package. Yes, you would have to have it paid off within 45 days (or at time of booking if the arrival date is less than 45 days away!) They may charge you a change fee as well.
