MYW Dining plan w/ kids?

I was wondering for all who have used the MYW DIning plan that have kids... Have you paid for your childs meal and used the plan for your dinner? Can this be done? Before I get hounded by this let me explain. My DD is a very very light eater. She usually eats off my plate. I hate to waste a whole dinner on a meal she won't even eat. Thanks for the help!

We just got back and did the dining plan with 2 kids ages 8 and 4. My 4 year old is a light eater also. I didn't find the kids meals to be oversized at all. She always orders the chicken nuggets which came with 4 about the size of a mcdonald's nugget, french fries and applesauce and a drink. She usually managed to eat the chicken nuggets, a few fries and the applesauce. I think you have to buy the plan for everyone in your party. We did on a few occasions split 2 adult counter meals with our dds for lunch. We stretched it out so we had meals for the last day too.

My DS's are 15 and 17 so I can't tell you how I would handle a child's meal. However, I am not the biggest eater and know that my family can not eat an appetizer, meal and dessert each so we plan to share meals at both lunch and dinner. I've never had a problem splitting meals in the past so I'm hoping that there won't be any problem on the dining plan.

We let our DS4 and DD5 split a meal with each other or us. We then used our extra CS for breakfast on a couple of days. As for TS, as long as it is not a character meal, you can share your food any way that you like.

I'm planning to pay for most of the kids meals at Table Service restaurants and saving the TS credits for Signature restaurants.

No hounding from me. We did this a few times during our April trip. Worked out great.
If Disney did not want people to do this, they wouldn't have set it up that way to begin w/ IMO.

We had 7 TS reservations and paid for 5 of my son's dinners. The waiters/waitresses had no problem with this at all. We also shared all of our CS lunches which enabled us to save up 6 CS credits to have two CS breakfasts.
