MYW Dining Plan Questions

We are thinking about adding the dining plan to our room ressie. I kind of haven't paid attention to posts about it, since we hadn't planned on doing it. Dh likes the idea of having everything prepaid, so we won't have to worry about it once we're there.

A couple of questions........for the child's meal, if there is no appetizer or dessert on the child's menu, does the child get to choose from the regular menu?

We have three kids, 2 of whom are "adults" for MYW. Can we sometimes order just 4 meals, and have dd eat 2 of the appetizers for her meal, and share the desserts? For example, if we were eating at Alfredo's, she could have a salad and soup, and 2 of us could order appetizers we could all share, like Mozzarella alla Caprese. All three of my kids are what you could call "picky eaters", but in different ways (dd loves fruit, salads, lots of veggies, but doesn't like pizza, meat or french fries; one ds hates veggies, another loves them, and so on)

What is the actual cost of the dining? I know it says $35 for adults and $10 for kids, but isn't there tax or something? Just curious.

Is V and A's a signature restaurant?

Thanks

Julia

I can answer some. As long as it is not a buffet or all you can eat, you can share meals. In regard to desert appetizers, they get to order off the menu if there is not one on the child's. The actual cost is the 35.00 and the 10.00 this includes tips and tax. So it does not cost you more. The tip that is included runs anywhere from 15 to 18 %, if your service is great you can chose to leave more if you want to. Thsi is a huge savings if you look at the CS and the TS meals. Even if youi do not order the most expensive thing. Which we will not as we normally don't eat a lot of those types of things. Also some people have posted that when eating at their resorts they got the refillable mug and then got a bottle of water etc for extra at the parks as the drink with their meal since their mugs were free to refill at their resot. You also get 1 snack a day.

Actually, I was referring to the fact that I thought the actual cost of the meal plan was something like $37.19 for adults. Does anyone know about this?

Thanks

Julia

It's $35, no tax. The price is going to go up in 2006, maybe that is the other price you saw.

I've read that many of the menus have recently added kid's appetizers.

Sorry, V&A is not included in the plan.

It's 35 and 10 this year, The other figures are next year's.

Yes. But their entree will still be from the child's menu.

Also, you may share as long as it's not a buffet.
