Between 11/12 and 11/19/09, I visited the Grand Floridian to see the gingerbread house. While there I noticed a woman sitting by herself with luggage and what appeared to be a basket of some sort. The basket looked as if it had stuffed dolls or animals in it. From time to time a cast member would stop by and talk to her. She moved very little, actually at first I thought she was a mannequin. Only my opinion but she appeared to be disguised to a degree. No one ever attempted to sit in the same area with her. Some folks that walked past her would take a double take. The only ones she seemed to talk to were cast members. I was in the lobby for sometime taking pictures and she only got up once and that was when a cast member came over, sat down and watched her luggage etc for her.
Did anyone else see her or know anything about it? It did not seem at all like someone just waiting for transportation to go home. Let me know if you witnessed this and what you made of it. I was in the lobby for well over an hour and she was still there when I left.:confused3

Thank you for supplying the link with a very heartwarming explanation by her sister. I guess I have been in the dark, sorry. All I can say is that I wish I had known Lynn is so approachable, I would have loved to talk to her. Actually I wanted to go and sit down and talk to her, but I felt as if I would be imposing. Now that I know she is a regular and loves to talk to people I will be sure to do just that if I am lucky enough to get the chance.
I am sorry for letting my imagination run away with me and for indicating that she may have been disguised. My imagination had me thinking perhaps it was Meg Ryan or someone trying not to be recognized!
I am so glad to know she can still get so much pleasure, as we all do, from frequently visiting WDW. I hope this continues for years to come.
Thank all of you for shedding light on my inquiry. Happy New Year!
