I know this is completely un Disney but here goes. I am interested in becoming a mystery shopper has anyone done this or know how to get involved? I've looked online but ther are literally hundreds to wade through. Any suggestions please?

I used to do mystery shops, its an interesting job to do but it doesnt pay very well. The average company will only pay about £10 per visit and there isnt much work around do you may only get a couple of jobs a week if that. I used to be in market research so the work came through one of those companies, Im not sure how you would do it without being in market research.

A friend of mine was a mystery shopper for Matalan. Apparently there is info on their web site. She really enjoyed it but gave it up in the end because there was no money in it.

I have done lots of Mystery Shopping.

The places I would start looking are Retaileyes.co.uk, Maritz.co.uk and http://www.cybershoppers.nop.co.uk/

I have done mystery shopping for shops, restaurants (great to get a family meal out for free!!), cinemas, hotels, theatres, banks, etc etc.

Some of them are well paid, and others are not well paid at all, but you get something for free, like a meal or a trip to the cinema, with popcorn and ben and jerrys ice cream!!

I dont really have time for it now, but I enjoyed it when i did it!

Hope that helps!

:thumbsup2 Agree with SammyG- also Gapbuster are another good company to start with. You have to be quite dedicated with these jobs- It can take months to build a good reputation with companies, meanwhile some jobs you get no fee and have 12 pages of notes to fill in!

On a side note, do any of the other mystery shoppers out there know why mysteryshoppersuk website has shut? Im getting withdrawal symptoms! :sad2:

oh I forgot about gapbusters! I did LOADS of work for them!
