Ok, I have been thinking about starting a journal for a while now. I just decided now was the time!

I never take the time to focus on myself, just like so many other women and Moms out there. I think it is time for me to change that. It will have to be a conscious effort. Much like my diet. I tend to forgot to think of myself sometimes, put everyone else first. I also sometimes tend to forget that I am going to try to eat healthy. I know that sounds crazy, but old habits die hard I guess. Sometimes I find myself eating something fattening, and think "Oh heck! I forgot I wasn't gonna eat that today!:confused3

Anyway, enough of that for now.

I weighed myself this past Friday and I weighed 166.5. That is great and all, but that is really my lowest weight. I usually fluctuate about 2 pounds higher. I definately feel higher today. This weekend was a total wash. We ended up having a cookout at my house and I ate everything in sight. So today I kind of started over. Kind of.

For breakfast I ate a bowl of Raisin Bran. Not too bad except DH bought whole milk when he went to the store. Oh well, at least he ran to the store for me!

Mid morning snack consisted of a handful of almonds.

Lunch was a turkey sandwich on white. (need to add wheat bread to grocery list.) Light Mayo and 2% slice of cheese. I also ate some baked tostitos with homemade guacamole. It was really good. So good that I had seconds of the guac and chips.:rolleyes1

Then this afternoon I had a 100 cal rice krispie treat. Empty calories.

When I got home I had a little more guac and a bite of this reese's peanut butter dessert that I had made for the kids. :sad2: Only the kids don't like it. But I do. I think I will pack it up and take it to work tomorrow so everyone else can eat it.

So now I am fixing to go grill some Mahi Mahi fillets and some green beans with a baked potatoe.

Will make myself workout before I go to bed.

Thanks! I just saw you have a wish journal also. I will have to hop over there and check it out. I mainly want to have somewhere to keep track of everything I'm doing right along with all that is not so right.

So far so good today. Just had turkey sandwich for lunch. I didn't ever exercise last night. One thing lead to another thing to do and it was bedtime before I knew it and I was beat. So I have decided tonight I will exercise as soon as I get home. Everything else will just have to wait.:thumbsup2
