My DH and DS (11) and I stayed at the Yacht Club from July 9 - 16. We had a Jr Suite which included concierge service. My DH and DS both appreciate down time on vacation, so a nice room is always a high priority to them. We were very happy with our selection. The room was, I think, 650 - 675 square feet. The living area had a nice sitting area, dresser and closet. The bathroom was nice too. The toilet and tub were separate from the double sink area. The sink area had a lot of nice storage space. All this was separated from the sleeping area by french doors. The sleeping area was huge. It had a lot of floor space, with 2 queen beds, dresser, and a desk with a pull out table with wheels under the desk. I really enjoyed the balcony. Our view couldn't have been better. We looked out over the shallow, sand pool of SAB (we could only see tidbits of the other parts of SAB), excellant view of the lagoon and boardwalk. It was especially pretty at night with the boardwalk all lit up. We could even see the Fantasmic fireworks! I know we missed some of the fireworks by not actually being there, but I loved sitting on the balcony with just my family. It was so peaceful.

Our room was on the 4th floor, so it was a little inconvienent to use the concierge service. I had hoped to have most of our breakfasts there, but it ended up not being enough for DH or DS. We did enjoy the snacks though.

When we first walked into the room I was impressed with how nice the room was. My son had an autographed picture of Captain Hook and a basket of chocolates waiting for him. We also had a glass bowl of fresh fruit. Both were a surprise for us and greatly appreciated. When we returned to our room the first night I was surprised again with a fresh vase of flowers. They were beautiful!

The resort and the suite were so nice I really had to pull my family out to go the parks. They didn't want to leave! We had a terrific vacation! I'll try to answer any questions you may have about the resort. I highly reccomend it!

Sounds like you had a great trip. Was Storm Along Bay very crowded?

We did find it to be crowded, but with it being so big and the pools are separated, so it really wasn't that bad. The hardest part was finding a chair. I like to spend some time lounging in the sun and it took some searching to find a chair in the sun. I was surprised that so much of the area around the pool is shaded. I always ended up getting one chair that had a towel on either side. Of course, while I was in my chair, I never had anyone claim the chairs next to me that were saved.
