My WPASADI Prize Trip. (Thank You Pete!) TRIP REPORT COMPLETE WITH PICS!

All that food looks so good! Especially the pictures from the bakery!

We were really lazy on Wednesday. We stayed in our PJ's until 10 watching PBS Kids and Playhouse Disney!

We decided we better finish up the milk we had in the fridge, so we all had cereal for breakfast.

Today was to be our last full day at the Swan, and tonight would be our last sleep in the Heavenly Beds. We knew we'd be back to WDW soon, but we didn't know if we'd ever have the chance to stay in the Epcot Resort area again. We decided to really take in the S/D and surrounding resorts today.

We started with a few hours at the Grotto Pool.

Around 2 PM we headed back to our room and changed for a late lunch, early dinner combo.

We walked to the Boardwalk at decided on ESPN Club.

My biggest regret here is that I was so hungry I hardly took any pictures of the food! It was soooo good! :lovestruc

DH and I split and order of Wings, which were the whole wing, not little drummies you get at some other places. They were served with Blue Cheese and Celery. They were perfect.

We also split The Angus Chuck Burger topped with Cheddar and Bacon on a Freshly Baked Roll.

The kids had a cheeseburger and chicken nuggets respectively. The kids meals came with small salads and Mickey Ear Ice Cream sundaes for dessert.

DH and I split Banana's Foster Cream Pie- A new twist to an old classic, layered high with fresh Bananas and Custard over Banana Bread and White Chocolate Whipped Cream. Our server said it was a fairly new menu item that was baked fresh daily next door at the BW Bakery. It was really good, but I'm glad DH and I split it. I don't think I could eat more than half.
I'm really sorry I didn't get a picture!

After our meal we strolled the BW taking in the sights and sounds.

I started raining. DS8 started to have a meltdown. So DH took the kids back to the Swan and I explored the S/D taking lots of pictures for this report.

The S/D is really a beautiful resort, worth a visit, and a great value if you can get a good rate. Sort of Deluxe at a Mod Price!

By the time I returned to the room it was time for DH's massage at the Spa. The kids and I watched cartoons for a while, then they fell asleep. DH came back to the room feeling very relaxed.

He took this photo on his way back to the room:

We all settled in for our final night's sleep at the Swan.

What a magical time you had!:goodvibes I love the EPCOT resort area so much, hoping to get back there soon. DH's favorite food in all of WDW are the wings at ESPN!!!

TigerKat,

Wait there's more. I have to tell you about the GRANDEST Prize of All!:cool1:

We reluctantly woke up on Day Seven with our return to real life lurking in the loom.

We didn't even eat breakfast.

We got dressed and called bell services to collect our bags.

We loaded the car and drove to DTD.

We had only used 4 days of our 7 day hopper. So we headed to guest services to decide how best to maximize our tickets. The CM said "For 14 dollars you can upgrade them all to Seasonal Passes."

DH said "$14 each...thats fantastic!"

The CM said "Um no sir, $14 total!"

THANK YOU DREAMS UNLIMITED!!!!!

We got SAP's for our entire family for $14 total!

But wait there's more....I earned points from Sunshine Rewards by doing all my online Christmas Shopping through their sponsors. A few months ago I redeemed my points $25 gift card.

IMG_0453.jpg

I used it for my passes, so I actually got them for FREE!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

After our sweet upgrade we did some shopping at WOD and had lunch at WPE. It was delicious! (Sorry no pictures)

Unfortunately is was time to head home.

Reviewing our trip at the relaxed pace we took, I figured the only rides major things we missed were POTC (which was in refurb)...TOT and RNRC (because of DS being upset by it, not by time constraint)....Goofy's Barnstormer (no biggie)....and the Nemo and FOTLK show at AK (Which we've seen before and will surely see again in August)

The regret I do have is not getting more time in World Showcase. We could have done that on Day #6 but chose to relax instead. No Biggie, we'll be back real soon!:thumbsup2

Thank You to everyone who had anything to do with WPASADI, the players, the judges, TPTB. And especially the creator MeanLaureen, the coordinators Kayla and LTS and of course Pete for giving it the green light!

:woohoo: THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!:woohoo:

WOW - That is incredible!!!!! Thank you so much for sharing this amazing time in your life with us.:goodvibes

What a wonderful report! You have just the greatest smile and that waterslide photo of you needs to go with my bus picture!!!

I am so glad you had a great time and your family and especially your boys enjoyed it. That is what made WPASADI worth it.

I enjoyed a great stay at the Swan in April. We loved Picabu and I soooooo wish we had gone to Fresh. We chose the Character Breakfast instead (can't remember the restaurant name) and it was AWFUL! I keep meaning to write a report about. I took tons of photos there so I could warn people not to go!!

I may need to see if I can borow some of your photos for my scrapbook--you took some awesome photos of the hotel!

just found your report and read it all and it was great.
\
loved the pics.

sounds like a really nice trip

Your photos make all your meals look so good. bluezoo looks fabulous! We're going to try to fit it in. If not this time, definitely soon.

Your boys are so cute. It looks like everyone had a great time. Everytime I see your 5 yr. old, I want to pic him up & give him a big hug. He's totally precious.

thanks so much for your report. It was so nice to see all those pictures from the swan.

And how cool about the passes all the more reason to return to wdw!!

Loved the TR!!! I recently had a Swan stay thanks to the DIS Unplugged Podcast (Thanks Pete!!) and really enjoyed the hotel - although I didn't have time for the spa so I am jealous. ;) I can't wait until we can go and enjoy the heavenly beds again - so much better than a WDW bed.
