We were really lazy on Wednesday. We stayed in our PJ's until 10 watching PBS Kids and Playhouse Disney!
We decided we better finish up the milk we had in the fridge, so we all had cereal for breakfast.
Today was to be our last full day at the Swan, and tonight would be our last sleep in the Heavenly Beds. We knew we'd be back to WDW soon, but we didn't know if we'd ever have the chance to stay in the Epcot Resort area again. We decided to really take in the S/D and surrounding resorts today.
We started with a few hours at the Grotto Pool.
Around 2 PM we headed back to our room and changed for a late lunch, early dinner combo.
We walked to the Boardwalk at decided on ESPN Club.
My biggest regret here is that I was so hungry I hardly took any pictures of the food! It was soooo good!
DH and I split and order of Wings, which were the whole wing, not little drummies you get at some other places. They were served with Blue Cheese and Celery. They were perfect.
We also split The Angus Chuck Burger topped with Cheddar and Bacon on a Freshly Baked Roll.
The kids had a cheeseburger and chicken nuggets respectively. The kids meals came with small salads and Mickey Ear Ice Cream sundaes for dessert.
DH and I split Banana's Foster Cream Pie- A new twist to an old classic, layered high with fresh Bananas and Custard over Banana Bread and White Chocolate Whipped Cream. Our server said it was a fairly new menu item that was baked fresh daily next door at the BW Bakery. It was really good, but I'm glad DH and I split it. I don't think I could eat more than half.
I'm really sorry I didn't get a picture!
After our meal we strolled the BW taking in the sights and sounds.
I started raining. DS8 started to have a meltdown. So DH took the kids back to the Swan and I explored the S/D taking lots of pictures for this report.
The S/D is really a beautiful resort, worth a visit, and a great value if you can get a good rate. Sort of Deluxe at a Mod Price!
By the time I returned to the room it was time for DH's massage at the Spa. The kids and I watched cartoons for a while, then they fell asleep. DH came back to the room feeling very relaxed.
He took this photo on his way back to the room:
We all settled in for our final night's sleep at the Swan.
